If there is more questions prodded you can ask to speak to the nurse then there will be confidentiality as well.

theres no reason for you not to get one, they always hold a set number of emergency appts for people who call early. try and get some water in you before you sleep, Im off to bed now, stay safe J xL

Johnatahn1 you need to stress that it is an emergency to the receptionist. Do not let them encourage you wait for an appointment at a later date. Make sure you are firm and tell them you need to see your doctor that day. Maybe you could check out AA, or another recovery method so you have some face to face support?.

I'm in the USA right now so it's early here but I suggest you set an alarm clock for 10 mins prior to the dr opening. Call as soon as you wake! Write yourself a note put it next to your pillow. When morning comes you may talk yourself out of reaching for help.

Please keep us posted

Johnatahn. If i were you i would book your appointment with the doctor first so it does not go to someone else. Then you can work out what to do about the electrician after you have done that.

How are you doing today, John? I don't know you and I'm American, but maybe you want to talk about what's been going on? There's nothing more crushing than the awful certainty that you're going to drink again tomorrow. You can change it but sometimes we all need some help.

Hi john, the only thing to do is quit drinking. Let it get out of you. If you feel unable to quit, please go to the doctor. I wish you the best.

John I'm so sorry. I went to my dr. I didn't give a reason for the app. When I got there, I just said I'm an alcoholic. I didn't have to give a narrative of my story, I would have cried through it. Instead they made it very easy by asking me a series of questions. Then prescribed a mild anti-anxiety pill that helped with the detox symptoms. Good luck my man.

Back pedaling keeps you stuck in the same spot.....I hope you aren't feeling embarrassed for whst you felt last night. Because you shouldn't. If you are ok as you say than I'm so glad for you!!! But if you find you still need help don't stay away too long

How did your appointment with the doctor go? What is your plan to care for yourself? So sorry you are struggling so badly.
