Honk Here if it is your first sober Christmas!!
Honk honk! Also my first Christmas hosting my parents who are here for a week, my father being the growing up issue that led to me drinking my unhappiness away. So a bit of a test there then.
Thank goodness for SR and wifi!! And for having a dog who will give me the excuse of long sober walks!
I wish a sober happy Christmas to everyone here, individually it can seem like a mountain, but with all of SR linking hands it will be easy as pie! Stick close if you feel remotely troubled, I offer my pm for anyone wanting a private vent!
WE CAN AND WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL SOBER TIME GUYS!!!!!

I had one sober Christmas about 7 years ago, and before that I can't remember the last one. So I'm going to "honk"--sober Christmas here I/we come. I love seeing all the others doing this--helps a lot.
Beep Beep, first sober Christmas since 2006. I am really nervous about it, I tend to get very depressed around the holidays. Last year's Christmas season triggered a 3 week binge which led me to recovery. It was awful and I am really nervous. I plan to take it a day at a time, treat Christmas like a normal day and work if possible and I also will rely on my friends in AA and on SR for additional support if need be.
I already have my meetings planned. The worst thing I could do if that depression starts hitting is isolating.
