Not my first sober Christmas in life, but first sober Christmas in a long time. I think I went overboard on gifts for people...First time in such a longgggggg time I am not handing out I.O.U.'s then eventually not getting them anything!

I'm not honking since this will be #2 for me (what an improvement, Christmas morning without a hangover, and being fully present for the presents), but there sure is a heckuva racket going on here! It's a happy excited noise I'm hearing.

It's my first clean/sober christmas in like 10 years
I just moved away, am living in a recovery home ..
Am home alone here on christmas eve ! (all of the girls are gone home with family but it is not a safe environment for me to do this as well)
Am listening to music and doing step work but keep getting calls from people in the program asking how I am and checking in.
Am so grateful for them
and for my sobriety
30 days tomorrow !!!!!
