Isn't it Ironic... Don't ya think?
How ironic is it that I'm currently drunk as a skunk and watching both "Intervention" and "Rehab with Dr. Drew"?? And you know what's sad? I know that I'm wrong, but I'm not even interested in becoming sober. I'm afraid of never having this feeling again...
Oh yeah, and my dad's 7 months sober this past Thursday.

Hi Nunya
I think a little bit of you must be a little interested to have signed up here?
There many hundreds of people here who've changed their lives for the better...I'm one of them
it's never too late..

Nunya,
You wouldn't be here if you didn't want to stop. When I first came on August 1, 2011, I was drunk, maybe not, but I think so. Who has 5 beers before noontime? I did that, I looked at the clock, and I started searching alcoholism. It brought me here. Best place that I could be. Not that I didn't relapse, I did, had almost a year, and guess what, I am still in my relapse, but still here, and tomorrow is going to be day 1 again. Why don't you join me?

Amy, maybe you're right... But I don't think I'm strong enough. I got off work at 7:00 and I've already downed 3/4 of a fifth (it's 11:15 right now.) I'm afraid to ask for help for fear of losing my boyfriend of less than a year (who is the LOVE of my life and treats me better than anyone else has) and losing the trust of my family. Maybe I can do this by myself...
Nunya,
just know that we will stay with you, when and if you decide to stop drinking, or even need a little push in the right direction.
with your boyfriend, all I can say is that if you don't stop, you have a better chance of losing him, also losing yourself.
think about it, I'll be here tomorrow
Edited to add----- I would really like to go through this with you starting 2moro, but if you need more time, that's ok, you can only stop, when you want to stop

BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ED!
And it... but NOT!!!
I guess that's why I'm here.
I guess everyone's totally disgusted by me since I admitted I'm a teacher. I don't blame any of you, though. I'm pretty disgusted by myself!!!

It's really not as intimidating then you think. First say to yourself that you want to do 1 month without drinking. Go through all the things that you will need to go through with the withdrawals, about 3 - 4 days. With me it was mostly night sweats and insomnia. It gets better after that. You feel more refreshed each day. This is all based on my experiences.
Then you start getting back a lot more energy, you want to do more things instead of sitting in the house, or sitting in a bar.
You may actually want to experience "life"
Try it, what do you have to lose? Hangovers? Hating yourself the next day?
Hope to see you 2moro

I'm not disgusted. I never met you, and I liked you as a person, I don't care what your occupation is.
I just think that you want better for yourself, and that's OK
