Now I have to add: did the dishes, cleaned the bathroom, made and ate a healthy supper. It's 1015 and I feel like I could just keep going! Except i really need to get to bed so i can go to work tomorrow. I cannot believe all the freakin' energy I have! Who'd thought?

After watching the Browns made a pot of cabbage and dumplings. And now its 12:30 I would be passed out, and waking up tomorrow wondering what happend after 3:00 in the afternoon.

Not a big list for me today it was just a nice peaceful day at home..

This morning I got out of bed, ate breakfast, got ready for work, enjoyed my cuppa and was walking the dog before my alarm went off

Played music all day - had energy, was focused on music rather than getting higher...

did not get sick everywhere...did not get sloppier in my playing as the day wore on...was not belligerent, and did not have to take a nap while the rest of the guys played without me...

This is what I did over the weekend instead of drinking:
1) Friday had a product workday (instead of only wishing for 5:00).. went to a meeting with a new sponsee, then went to another meeting with her to help a friend celebrate getting her 1 year chip, went out to ice cream with said friend and new sponsee
2) Sat enjoyed a day of shopping with my husband, relaxing in my own skin, enjoying his company
3) 90 min hot yoga session, personal training session, meeting, cooking for the week...

This NEVER would have been an enjoyable weekend to me before... now I LIVE for times like this.. odd...

Just organized my bathroom closets and drawers! I used to spend mornings on the couch in my pjs eating terrible food nursing a hangover. On to dishes and laundry, should walk, then who knows.

Painted the trim on my house. Played my guitar in the evening when everyone went to bed. Normally I would intend to practice, but would spend more time drinking.

Got up around 6, had a couple of hours of 'me' time before the husband and toddler woke up. Got the house clean, worked out, showered and ready for the day by 7:30. I do the same thing every day, and I love it.

Today I got up, had the kids ready and organized 15 minutes before. No rushing. Their faces were clean, teeth were brushed and shoes were on EARLY! So we could get to the school early! I am never usually late but do end up shouting and stressing usually in a panic to get them there on time!

I went up to the village and purchased some things needed for next week - I would usually leave last minute!

I stripped the beds, put some washing away, tidied the kitchen... all done before 10am!

These sound like normal things, but believe me, I would put EVERYTHING off until last minute because my hangover, and nursing it took priority.

I spent the day with my children - completely present and happy and energetic and felt just like my old self! I loved every single minute of it!

Today I actually swept my house! And most importantly, I really prayed with my heart.

THIS-and I'm so grateful. Also-felt comfortable in my own skin (mostly), and felt NO shame, guilt, etc.

AND-took my daughter in for an early early doctor appt, which would have never happened before-nothing before 11 because I'd be practically hyperventilating worried someone could tell I was boozing it up the night before.

Took my youngest daughter to town to get pictures printed and supplies so we could make her "all about me" poster for school.

Went to the supermarket, bought food, cooked it and ate it. Have not done that in a very long time.

I did this late last night ( sober) so hope it still counts!

I put a colour on my hair and did not get it all up the bathroom tiles, the shower screen, the door, the sink, the toilet, my clothes, my arms etc!!!

Amazing.

Big hugs

GXX

I had a smile on my face at 6:30am when I walked my dog and at 3:30pm at the end of work. For no particular reason except I was happy.
