I'm so sorry chiyo. As the others have said, nothing's gained by drinking. It's a temporary numb feeling & then you have to face everything all over again. Then when you sober up, you have the added burden of having let yourself down - and feeling like hell physically. I hope you'll decide to stay clearheaded.
The last thing your friend would want would be to cause you a relapse. Try to think of it that way, if nothing else. As Peter said, 'honor her memory' by staying the course & continuing your journey to a better life.
