Penny, it wasn't fun working like that, but I wouldn't let myself call in because I felt like I needed to go through all of the crappy parts of working through this. That way I would think twice about doing "this" to myself again.

I just told everybody that I hadn't been getting any sleep, which was technically true. And that I was coming down with something. I was so relieved to get it over with and go home. I didn't think for even a second, of stopping to get some wine on my way home. I couldn't wait to get to my couch with a cozy blanket.
