I hope very much that this can be your last drink Dasha - I know you know as well as I do - it's no way to live, man.

Do whatever you need to to make some real changes mate - talk is good - but actions better

Hi Dasha,

Doing this on your own is not working. Are you ready for AA yet?

Keep coming back.

Hi dasha - it does sound like you're ready this time. When I came here I knew what had to be done but didn't have the courage to face the unknown (life without booze). When I look back, I don't know why it took me so long to stop pouring the junk down my throat. It had been years since it was fun or an escape from boredom. I was in a living hell.

An exciting new life waits for you dasha - the one you've clung to for so long is bringing you misery. I'm so happy you've come here and look forward to hearing about your journey.

Living sober really is a better way to live: no regrets, no shame, no risk, no wasted money or time. I'm glad you're starting over. Yes, you CAN do this!

Yes I knew when I reached it. This from Bill's story in the Big Book describes exactly how I felt at that moment when I had taken my last drink

No words can tell of the loneliness and despair I found in that bitter morass of self-pity. Quicksand stretched around me in all directions. I had met my match. I had been overwhelmed. Alcohol was my master.
