Pain pills
I think I'm hooked....every two weeks(when I get paid) I spend $70 or so for about 24 percocet. I then pop them and drink any sort of alcohol. I usually do about three or four a night. I also am on anti-depressant meds(divorce/grandmothers death) so this is where o turned. I'm getting scared I can't stop. I took two and drank a beer before work for the first time last fri. Any sort of help or direction is greatly welcome. Oh I'm 25 own house car etc. Again thank you

Hi Steve,
I too am a painkiller addict.
There are many ways to tackle our addiction.
Number one, you should come clean with your doctor and ask for help, that's what I did.
You're not taking [in my opinion] a massive amount so you should be able to get off of them fairly quickly if you are committed to getting sober.
You have so many options, from cold turkey, to drug replacements, to rehab or tapering which is what I'm doing.
There is a way to get off of them.
You also need to address the reason WHY you use. Is it for genuine physical pain that you need to find a new way to manage or is it a mental dependence requiring therapy?
Whether it is one or both, you can do it.
Welcome to SR, keep reading, keep posting, you will get so much love and support here.
Much love,
Faerie xx

I just do it cause i like the feeling I haven't seen my therapist in a while I guess I'm doing it to cope with my losses(my grandma and my wife ) it sucks cause when I'm high I'm no fun for my daughter(2) its jus me and her home now i guess bringing a stressed out single parent is another reason too
Steve,
I too use to numb emotional pain as well as physical pain.
I am now dealing with my emotional pain and that is what has given me the strength to start to wean myself off.
Please, see your doctor and go back to therapy.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing this.
If you can't do it for yourself do it for your little girl.
Much love and understanding,
Faerie xx
