I replaced vodka with Klondike bars and packed 53 lbs on in six months. Thankfully, they don't arrest you for fat driving.

As stated above, it's levelled off in month seven and I'm gymming and walking to get back to my former, glorious self.

i did the same with these amazing chocolate cookies i found. i stockpiled them. and Twizzlers became my DOC.

eventually i switched out the chocolate/candy for fresh fruit..pineapple, cherries, melon, strwberries work well.

Klondike Bars are not fictional. They're what the angels have for breakfast in heaven. You can google that sh!t.

I got my appetite back after being sober for a few days. At the time I was still on a feeding tube in hospital, so I was getting plenty nourishment...

I was seriously underweight then, with asctites as well. Not a pretty picture!

7 months on... Im back to normal weight... excess fluid all gone... liver functions normal range... and loving coffee and chocolate... so what!!! I'd rather be where I am today stuffing my face than the stick thin-non-eating alki I was back then!

Me too!!

I have been making scrambled eggs and corned beef hash and toast with grape jelly pretty often, and baked potatoes are suddenly very appealing, broccoli, salads, bananas, tomatoes, crackers dipped in that hormel turkey chili, a little pork chop, or chicken....it's a veritable food wonderland!!

Slice and bake chocolate chip cookies are my favorite for the sugar fix. With a glass of cold skim milk. YUM.

Reading this thread made me hungry (again!).

Yep. Hunger is definitely a byproduct of my early sobriety.

I have been *trying* to walk on my treadmill for a bit each day...hope that helps.

I have noticed my complexion is better (day 17) and it seems (but i could be wrong) that my belly is a tad smaller...I'm giving myself three months (end of the school year before summer) to hopefully be in a fairly fit place!

Cheers to all and enjoy the day!

There's a London in Ontario? Or are you trying to throw people off the scent

It does taper, promise - I'm just bein a greedy mare. Plus, the desire to do exercise grows. I figure it'll reach some kind of critical point where it all comes together and I moult this body and suddenly there are two Michelle Rodriguez -

- dammit, Ophelia, how the h*ll do you pluralise Rodriguez? es on the end I guess. Rodriguezes. Yeah. There'll be two of em. And one of them will be me.

Hello Rachel! Tescos have started doing this new slab of chocolate that's milk and white swirled together with bits of cookie in it. Ohhhhhhhhhhh...

Or how about a Dairy Milk dipped in tea?
