Hockey season sucks.

I don't remember the last time I blew through $500 so quickly. $150 to replace the equipment my son outgrew from last year and $350 for yearly fees AND I have to volunteer for 5 bingos to subsidize the remainder of the cost.

I am excited for hockey this year, because this will be the first year that i'm off nights and can watch my son's games. And at least all the equipment we buy can be used by his younger brother when he starts.

I just got off the phone with my sister. Her son (my nephew/Godson) called and said, "How are you feeling, Mom? Are you doing OK?" He received a letter from the State of New Jersey saying, because his mother had passed away, her benefits were discontinued for the months of July and August. Can you imagine? It's going to take forever to get this straightened out!

She said, "Thank God, I have overdraft protection on my account." I said, "That much, Anna!?!" "OMG...I'd better get on the phone with the bank right away."

After the initial shock, I couldn't help but laugh. I wondered how many other people this might have happened to. Perhaps a disgruntled employee getting back at the powers that be? Hope I'm not one of the recently deceased...it would definitely screw up the nursing home's accounts.

I'd love to see the look on their faces if you showed up in person and asked how to collect your death benefits.

Nonny, you are filled with more life than most people I know, and my guess is that they are going to be very sorry for the mistake

working at home today. Thats good but since I have been in recovery its a mixed blessing as I discovered I love being with people. So off down the road as soon as possible today.

Yesterday I ran a 1/2 marathon and today I am already mostly recovered.

My Whine? I dunno!

Updates!... Phoey!

i might be loosing my internet recovery site as we speak!
I LOST my whole computer yesterday...went into the store (via hot cab

ride) this afternoon at 1:30...and did not have warranty...truly thought I had

purchased one when I bought it last month! I cried. They took pity on

me after they tried everything they could took to find and repair the prob...and let me

get a new one...(finally). I did have to "buy up" just a bit and buy

a warranty. But I got this neat little laptop...only 50 bucks more and

still a bargain. Tiny though. Got home at 7:00 p.m.

Whew. Tired.

I need a tiny geek elf man who lives in a shoe....

Morning WHINE

Man, I have woken up EVERY SINGLE NIGHT this week at 3:00 a.m. Most nights I haven't been able to fall back asleep until 4. Then I have to get up at 5:45 to make sure my teenager is up and getting ready for school (he has to leave the house at 6:10). Then, at 7:45 I have to get the little one up and ready for school... but the past 2 days he's gotten up on his own at 6:15!

I'm so tired!!!
