The gusts and rainstorms from this storm come sporadically. And although I'm east of the storm, the rainbands are hitting the east side of my house...right where my room is.
Unlike mr cmc, I can't fall asleep with all that noise.

I'm okay midge- don't worry. If it's a tornado it won't matter what side of the house I'm in!!..I'll be in my saferoom if that happens.
We did have what the weatherman called 'vortex' action three miles from my house but it's now moved northward.
