Good Morning
Day 85. Sorry I have been busy lately. I have been going to a lot of meetings (well about 4 a week) and doing my writing. I am on resentments and it is taking a toll on my. I am very irritable.
I also had my first drinking dream on Friday Night. It was awful when I woke up I was depressed, my mouth was dry. I felt sick and my head felt like I had a hangover. Lasted a few minutes until I finally realized it was a dream and I had not drank. I hope I do not have another one.
Still have ex-relationship drama. I feel so weak when it comes to him. I do not know why I let him get to me he is a drug to me. I let him go and he comes back and then I let him in and he backs off. I guess that is what you get when you have 2 sick recovering alcoholics keeping in contact....

Hi everyone! I feel great today! Day 4 on my re-do. I'm going to keep the mind-set that I have been sober since July 13th, with a one-week "screw up" consisting of four drinking days. Honestly, it feels very easy to stay sober this time. I know that there is nothing "out there" for me. Yesterday I had to take my eldest boy to the ER for a broken pinky (he's very excited by it - lol) and I wouldn't have been healthy enough to do that a week ago. I'm so grateful for being sober!!!
I'm also grateful for people who were willing to kick me in the ass when I needed it.

This is horrible, I know, but I am ENRAGED by that thread going on in regards to religion. I can't seem to stop reading it and then getting angry again! lol
In other news: woke up, made breakfast for three kids, bathed three kids, made lunch for two school aged kids (third starves...haha..kidding!), got myself all gussied up and came into the store. Sober. Feeling great!

Hi Dancing Girl,
I get ticked off by some of the threads on the website and keep going back to peak at them only to get ticked again! It's sick but a lot of people do it. Some just walk away. Geez...so mature.
You know some people just love to pick fights on threads and as soon as I see the topic I graon. I think doorknob did a post which was just a smiley eating buttered popcorn, watching the "show." Here we go again!!!! Hang in there!

Today is 58 sober days for me! I never thought I could get this far and keep on going. I am so grateful for my friends here cheering me on and believing in me. It's helped me so much to stay sober.
I love you all!!:ghug

Least, if you have 58 then I must have 59. Kinda lost track there which I guess can be a good thing.
Wow, hard to believe it's been almost 60 days!
I'm leaving for Vegas with my wife for our anniversary tomorrow. The actual day is 911 so it's pretty hard to forget, huh.

This is day 44 for me (July 28). I'm finding it pretty easy to stay sober, but this time around the "fog" is taking longer to lift. When I have quit in the past, after about 1 week, I began to feel almost normal. I guess I'm just getting older (50). Maybe I waited too long to quit.
Hey Rurdy, JoinedInTime & Irv - Long time no see!! You're right. It is kind of quiet lately but that's a good thing. Peopple are getting on with their lives and more comfortable in their sobriety. Or they're off on wild drinking benders. J/K. I really think it's the first.
Irv - still in a fog after 44 days...something doesn't sound right about that. I know from reading that it's never too late to quit drinking. Maybe look at the diet and/or exercise, work stress, etc.? Just some thoughts.
Good Morning all!
