I want to get wrecked out of my mind..Help!
Missy,
I think it's the 'not knowing' that is the worst.
I know you will be able to deal with whatever comes along in your life, good or bad. You are strong and you'll get through this.
Prayers for you, my friend.

Hi Missy Mae- so glad you are taking the needed
steps to stay sober, giving the thoughts away, praying
and calling your sponsor. Be proud! I will pray for you and
wish you all the best, your friend in recovery, Hope3

Dear Missymae, I'm sorry to hear about your health concerns.
I'm glad you took action to stay sober, though. I'm sure you know that drinking won't help your immune system or your emotions.
I was diagnosed with something in June that had me freaked out at the time.
That experience was definitely good practice for acceptance, trusting, waiting to see how things actually turned out, keeping a positive mental attitude, and remembering to be appreciative.
I also met a lot of great people in the medical team that treated me.
You're in my prayers,
K

Oh my gosh, honey, I'm sorry that I am late reading this thread.
I'm holding you in my thoughts and prayers.
(((...)))
See these hugs... they are all for you.
Hang in there and know that as long as you stay sober, you can handle all situations with grace.
I can relate to what you're going through. I am going through a health thing now and my first thought was to drink but I didn't. I know you will get through this too.
It is tough and scary at the moment, but drinking will only hold you in pain and will cloud you in darkness and make it seem worse.
You will get through this. I'm always here for you my dear friend.
Stay away from that first drink and we can deal with what's next together.
Hope

I finally have my computer working again...It is still very slow but at least I can get on this site...
Your words mean so much to me...What a wonderful group of friends!!
I have surrounded myself with my AA friends and my family...
I am not as upset about my medical issue...When the hospital called, it was somewhat of a shock...Now, I focus on my sobriety...
Soon I will be coming up on sixth months of sobriety...I don't believe I could achieve this without all of you, and AA...
Thanks to all of you...

Missy I can really add nothing to what others have already said, you are doing what you need to do and I will do what I can do..... pray, I have turned it over to my HP that you will be given the strength to remain sober and that what his will is that you will remain sober to face what ever this may be.
Hugs and prayers,
Martin
