My introduction...
Hello all....in a million years I would never have suspected I would use this site, or any site for that matter concerning drug dependance. But I am glad I have found you, and I am glad to be here.
My husband is an oxycontin addict. He has, in the last year, destroyed our lives sadly....I have given him chance after chance to proove himself...to just be crushed with disappointment. Currently in the methadone program to detox (lets not even kid ourselves, its not detox, its replacing one opiate for another) and obviously, its not working.
I am at a loss....I am torn....I am empty....I am destroyed.
But I stay because I am independant, he does not bring me down, I try to help him, he doesnt want my help, he wants his next fix.
I would like to connect with others....I need support...guidance...and care.
I am located in Toronto, Ontario
Many thanks everyone! I hope to establish great friendships and hopefully be of some help to others....

Hello CurlyGirl!! I can imagine it must be hard. I myself am an, actually was an Oxy user and I have seen what my girlfriend has to go through. It is tough on both ends. Your husband is lucky to have such a supportive wife. You definitely deserve a pat on the back. I hope that all works out for you!! Good luck! I will be here to help you in any way I can.
