I I just pruned my Avatar file, now down to 89...
I too switch often cause I'm fickle.

I choose ones that amuse me....
hope other members will also

Interesting thread Judith..thanks!

The four-year-old in my avatar had so much potential... The picture's there to remind me that she still does.

Anna, your cats are beauties.

This post inspired me to change mine to something meaningful. Thats my dog, Jasmine, aka Jazzy Bear aka Jasmoondo aka my blond beauty etc etc. She's my baby. When I'm bored, things like this happen to her. I dress her up and take stupid pictures, and she always cooperates.

Your dog looks sweet. Definiately more patient than mine. They would never tolerate being dressed up...

Haha my poor poopers takes a lot nonsense from me. I just think she's so beautiful and like taking pictures of her. But, in return, I let all 70 lbs of her sit on my lap like a poodle, she sleeps in my bed on MY pillow, and she usually gets at least 1/3 of whatever I'm eating... so.. the dog can take a little dress up now and again :-D

My avatar is one that made me laugh out loud. She is just happily walking along with her little dog, seemingly oblivious to the fact that her tushie is showing and she has toilet paper on her shoe.

It makes me laugh and I hope it makes you smile.

Okay...here's the story:
I love lily of the valley flowers and I often wear lily of the valley perfume. The scent always lightens my mood.

I used to pick them as a child and they were my mom's birth-month flower. I have many happy memories associated with picking these in a forest near my childhood home. I can't grow them where I live ( and I have tried!) so it's nice to have them here on my screen all the time.

The reason I don't ever change it is because it's too frustrating! My pc has 'issues' and whenever I try to get around that I begin to have 'issues' sooo....I let it go. (that's good Alanon recovery work!)

I had to have the admin. of the site insert my pic when I started here in Feb. 2006 and obviously, it's been there ever since.

mine is the Orion nebulae ... I'm in love with that color purple - not as objects - only as light. Reminds me of home.

I tried changing it - but somehow it just doesn't 'work' for me - to read my words with any other pic up there. I always changed it back.

I love the formless nature and the vibrance of Orion. One of the teachings I remember from just beginning on 'another path' was ... "We had to forget formlessness ... in order to have form."

This pic epitomises that for me.

I miss your "Oh Crumbs" Penfold avatar. It really used to make me smile.
You must give that one an airing again some day

Back in the summer, I asked the angels to send me a feather as a sign, and they did. It was a very spiritual experience so I use a feather as my avatar to remind me that the angels are allways by my side.

I have trouble getting my own avatars to upload onto my profile from my computer or even point to a hosting URL...

I only get to pick from the ones that are already there...

That's why I'm stuck under a tree today...

I am a nature girl at heart...

I love the simplicity of how animals react to one another...

If only we could treat one another as kind and loving...:ghug2

This topic brought tears to my eyes. Silly I know.

My avatar means alot to me. Whatever one I have always has alot of intense emotion behind it.

Mine now represents peace and freedom. I love the beach. It is just so peacful and calming to me to just sit and stare out into the horizen.

I have struggled so bad this past year and still am.
I just want to be free. I want to feel like that avatar looks to me.

Like Chiy, being near the ocean calms me & reminds me how ridiculous it is to get caught up in the petty, everyday worries that take up too much time in our lives. It helps me remember why we're here - to hold each other up, to be kind, to love one another & wait for each other if one of us falls behind.

I'm glad you started this thread - a refreshing change that we needed!
