yes the brushoff is completely in regards to the #2 and the guy was VERY clear about that
the problem is that I do pretty much live in the woods and there is no public transit other than over priced cabs and between meetings and work it would cost me more for the rides than going to work would pay
a sherrif's ID - now THAT IS friggin funny.......good thought, dont think they have those in MA - thx :-)
ok what is an emotional rearrangement ?? ya got me there ?
i can probal put a definition together but you tell me pls....
1Day- thx - had something to say but I still seem to be having two brain cells left that are always fighting...lol
i forgot what it was,.

Wish I was still in Oxnard.
Oh yea if anyone wants to bicycle in MA in February - you have bigger cahonas than I do ! I grew up here and wont even ski when its below 15 F. w no wind. Today was around 0 deg. F w the wind chill. Some do but wind up sick, w frostbite or dead.
I used to go out when it was colder but learned the hard way. Its dangerous.

Talk about victimhood. Go down to the DMV where you get a drivers license. Tell them you want a non-drivers state ID. It cost the same as a regular license and looks just like one, only difference is it says non driver ID instead of drivers license. Every state has them. Guess you'll need a ride down their though huh? Bless your heart.
frstnm this how you get an id--
(not called sheriffs id in ma though.)
Massachusetts Identification Cards (ID)
Those without a driver's license will find a Massachusetts ID extremely useful. Identification is required for many common transactions. It is also required to purchase wine, beer, or alcohol, or to enter bars or nightclubs serving alcohol (the minimum age is 21). While a passport can typically be used, it is not always accepted and can easily be lost or stolen. It is possible to obtain a Massachusetts ID (not valid for driving purposes) from the RMV. Although it is not a driver's license, the Massachusetts ID is recognized as a valid form of photo identification. You will need to present the same types of identification as for a driver's license (see above), complete an application, and pay a $15 fee. Consult the RMV website for more information. Visitors in B-1/B-2 or WB/WT status are not eligible for a Massachusetts ID.
I think this is what you'll need.
Identification
When you go to the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) to apply for permission to drive you will need to provide the following:
A Social Security number (SSN) or a denial letter from the Social Security Administration*
PLEASE NOTE: A request for a SSN will be denied if you are in a visa status that does not permit you to work in the United States (such as F-2, H-4, or J-2 without USCIS work authorization). The Social Security Administration will issue a denial letter immediately when you apply for the SSN, which you can then take to the RMV and submit as part of your application for a driver's license.
A document proving your date of birth, such as your passport or birth certificate (with translation if not in English)
A document with an example of your signature, such as an apartment or house lease; a canceled personal check with your signature and preprinted address (a copy is acceptable if printed on a sheet with other cancelled checks and issued as part of a monthly statement by the bank); or a current or expired non-U.S. driver's license (must be expired for 12 months or less; if not in English, must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit or other acceptable translation)
Proof of Massachusetts residency, such as a utility bill (telephone, cable, electricity, gas, heating oil) showing your name and current address; a checkbook with your name and preprinted address; or a bank statement with your name and address that you received through the mail
At least you'll be able to prove you are who you say you are

Hi frstnm, I see you are still plugging away, looking, seeking, excusing..lol, hugs...
I think you are a great human being, but have you read your post lately...
Please take this the right way....I am brain washed with a positive attitude, even when I was drinking I could see the positives in that too (sick)...(HuH)
Really, lets start looking at the things you can do and stop dwelling on the things you don't think you can..you already have done this, look....
"just remembered that there are some rmvs open late....
cool...mabey that'll work
YEAH>>>>>>
If I were looking for solutions, I might ask myself these questions, you might have already, I don't know so I'll shoot...
on the id yes i know what to do but cannot get time off or a ride this weekend so i can get what needs to be done accomplished

Anyway you can look for some place closer to where you work to live, or at least where there is busing?
All I am trying to say is, every problem has a solution, we may not like the solution, heck sometimes we may not even think of it, but there is still a solution....
Your addiction is talking to you right now, telling you life was better drinking...I hope you don't listen...
Quote The alcoholic: "Why are you drinking?" demanded the prince.
"So that I may forget,"replied the tippler.
"Forget what?" inquired the little prince, who already was sorry for him.
"Forget that I am ashamed," the tippler confessed, hanging his head.
"Ashamed of what?" insisted the little prince, who wanted to help him.
"Ashamed of drinking!" The tippler brought his speech to an end, and shut himself up in an impregnable silence."
I know you said no quotes, sorry firstnm, hugs, lol hope3.

jit - just in time
I have managed to stay sober through all this....
I did make it to the lawyer and to the bank
I did call another friend from the program and got the rides I need - except for the bank and add on a meeting for the day !
I am calling my sponsor now
All pretty much has worked out the best its probably going to so I can take that for what it is worth and try to be satisfied with most rather than none
progress is slow butI want it all yesterday....just my personality....

No just our personality *LOL*
The microwave was not a good invention. It helped us want it NOW!
Good seeing you making progress. Some things take time and some may happen fast.
Someone has a quote on the sig line...
Don't give up before the miracle happens.
That is one quote I think you can accept.

glad you opted to not take the misery back. Its always there waiting for us if we want it and it progresses even though we remain clean.
I hope you start finding the joy in the day.
