Thanks Dee.
Breakfast by the sea 🌊. Long weekend ahead, covid was good for one thing, We got an extra day off and the government held onto it.
Swimming and walking planned.
The tension starts tonight in my house, Ireland v France in the 2024 6 nations rugby. Someone will go to bed unhappy 😅.

Searching for something to eat.
Reminds me of when i was young and we would go to the beach with friends and our mam. No matter how hard you try there was always sand in that sandwich

A new thread!

I sometimes feel sorry for the birds. Always looking for something to eat while always having to be aware of predataors. There's little respite from the daily toils of life for them other than sleeping.

A non wetsuit swimmer, a brave soul🙃.
I'd love to do it if only to stop the effort it takes taking off the wetsuit and boots when we get out, its a pain. Its colder than getting in to be honest.
Rugby with my son next, fingers crossed for the win, it would complete a fine Rugby weekend for me🙂. Have a lovely Sunday.

Thankyou 🙂.

Last night i looked at a show on tv, one of the endless weight loss and health shows that come on this time of year.
Usual stuff a couple with kids that are eating too much, mainly the wrong food take aways ect. Little to no exercise and they wanted to change for the children.
One thing that i found a bit hard was the attitude of the panel made up of Doctors, nutritionists, fittness instructors, after the usual questions of how many drinks did you have a day. (A bottle of wine each) it seemed to be brushed off and not much of a deal was made of it. More of an issue was the take aways and the amount of calories it had on the plate. As far as the alcohol went it was theres a lot of sugar in it and may be to cut down.
Its a strange one to me. End result was no drinking and lots of weight loss in 8 weeks but it kind of got to me.
Probably was sponsored by a drinks company.
Anyway swim in the sea and a nice walk. A gate along the way that needs lots of attention.

I hear ya, AL. The casual acceptance of addiction out in the world is really weird.

I like the gate pic.

I think that sounds like the weirdest weight-loss show, ever.

I only ever watched The Biggest Loser, the US and Aus ones, and both shows emphasises how BAD alcohol is, and that ultimately, any more than two drinks a week for women is too much.

And I LOVE that photo; it is super-eerie. Like I wonder what is hiding in that garden/vacant lot? behind the beautiful flower fence.

I know what you mean AL. I've seen articles about weight loss in the British media, which concentrated on how someone lost x amount of weight by substituting convenience food and takeaways for healthy meals and will then mention as an afterthought that the person also drank several pints of beer every day which they then swapped for water. The article doesn't address the fact the person obviously drank far too much as well as eating far too much.

Not feeling it today. Just one of those days, i expect its after the long weekend rest and taking it easy, to go back to work to something that doesn't really excite me isnt great.
Like the weather its dull and dreary with nothing much better in the forcast. Head up and go forward, the day normally isnt as bad as you think its going to be all made up in my head.

Touch of spring today Tursiops an out of focus white torn bush coming into flower. A bit early but lovely to see. I wasn't wearing my glasses for this one 🙃.
