Glad your feeling better Tursiops. It must be hard at times, it's great you can get away to nature, it definitely helps me when im feeling down but can be an effort to take the first few steps and get out there. I know it will take me a few days to get back to my usual routine when i go home tomorrow. Might get back here again in June then off to France.

That trail looks really fun, I went to the website to read about it. That's genius - stapling chicken wire on to the boards for traction when they're wet.

I really enjoyed the hike Biminiblue but unfortunately back to reality now, after the drive home i had a lazy afternoon. I had a snooze and watched Snatch the movie with Brad Pitt as a traveller. I didn't even need the subtitles 😅.
So heres a tree that caught my eye yesterday covered from top to bottom in moss and ferns growing on it. Really nice.
Back to work tomorrow 😫.

Its tough getting back into a routine. I know it will only take a day but its a hard one emotionally. I love being away in a hotel the eating out, spa the pool, hiking the hills. Glad in one way to be blue missing these things instead of looking after a dreaded hangover. I was looking at booking another weekend away before France but the tv gave up last night so i had to fork out €400 on a new one today. At least i have it.

Love the moss covered tree. I was admiring one the other day as it begins to get tiny little flowers on it. Striking to see the white flowers against all that furry green.

That's a beautiful tree pic, AL. Yes, the return to reality is tough! Sorry about the TV.

How was Brad Pitt's accent in Snatch? his German accent in 7 Years in Tibet was ... not quite convincing.

His accent wasn't that bad at all Tursiops. He apparently stayed with a traveller family for a few weeks to get used to their accent and use of our Hoberno/English way to speak. Not easy if you don't have an ear for it 🙂.
The new tv is excellent, the picture quality is amazing such clarity. We really got as much as we could out of the older one.

Back into things as usual today. Still hard when my wife and kids are off from school and college. Getting up and heading for work while everyone else sleeps can be depressing until you have a sunrise like todays. I'd much rather be up seeing this.

I colud research it or ask AI but who decided to call it Good Friday. It wasnt good for the man involved. Funny how its changed since i was a young lad. Busiest day by far in the shop as everything closed Friday. Its only recently the pubs were allowed to open normally. Not that i care anymore. The off-licence would have its crazy day as everyone was off on Friday and what else can you do.
Little thought must have went into it.
A parade would have been coming from the church to the town centre where an alter was built for the Sunday mass. The parish priests, alter boys ,nuns it was a real religious feel to the place where the rules where obeyed and everyone had to be seen to prove you were there for the mass, mad times.
Not a bit like that now😅.
Anyway loved looking at the fog roll up river this morning

Great photos AL, of the sunrise from yesterday and of the rolling fog today. The sunrise looks like a beacon of light from a lighthouse in the distance. Quite inspirational.

One Easter egg down🤢. Going to have to spend a lot of time on the road to burn this off.
Painting the living room with my wife and daughter. Im a controller and it is driving me crazy seeing its already taking 3 coats when it shouldn't. Patience is running short for me while my wife and daughter dont seem to be bothered. My issues to deal with😅. Going to do some meditation.
I think the Heron has the best idea, just chill out.

I watched a Great Blue Heron fly over my park and river yesterday. Spectacular.

Painting. Oh, joy.

The great blue heron is one of our regular residents around here. They do seem very chill.

Good luck with the painting and the easter eggs. I'm eating just regular old eggs this morning, no chocolate in the house or I would binge through the entire supply.
