24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 492
Ha Ha Tired Carpenter!! Anyone who can make me laugh about triangles must be doing something right. And in the spirit of triangle humour, can I just say Charon, that your puppy is acute..ey. Ok, you get the point - I'm not angle-ing for complements, I just think my triangle humour has gone up a few degrees since I last attempted it.
I'm sorry. And this is why I will never be a good teacher. I'm supposed to be teaching my children educational stuff but instead I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to think of how I could work the word 'isosceles' into a triangle pun. It's really difficult. I don't think it can be done xxx

Because the isosceles is hard to please.
Does anyone else experience constant anger? Lately I’ve been angry with God, myself, my family and friends, co-workers and acquaintances, and at the world! I’ve been like this for a while now and I’ve tried prayer, therapy, talking to a trusted friend - I’m constantly ready to blow up! I don’t want to be like this anymore and it has been a huge stumbling block in my recovery. Anyway, I wanted to get this off my chest. Pray for me; I need it.
And anger was one of the ones that many people are struggling with.....something that stuck in my mind was the idea of accepting the anger.
As alcoholics in recovery, acceptance is once again the answer to all of our problems.
It was suggested that we kind of say hello to the anger, have a chat with it even (that is my input)....basically just stop feeling bad about it. And then it can be a bit easier to look at where the anger is coming from. And once we know, we can use the message in the serenity prayer to deal with our feelings.
The serenity to accept what we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can and wisdom to know the difference.

The Serenity Prayer helps me often when dealing with all of my wild emotions. I have it framed on my wall.
Count me in for another 24 hours! Another day of serious heat and humidity. So grateful for air conditioning. Have a terrific Tuesday!!
Much love to all.

danek anger is rooted to other feelings like expectations of or others, regrets, resetments in my life and others that I have to look deep inside me now still there but more easy to control....prayers for you.
24 more for me please....
24 more for me please....
Tired Carpenter & wiscsober the pup is a Biewer Terrier - 4-8 pounds. I often find myself saying about baby animals (musk ox, foxes, elephants, etc) if they would just stay that size and look that way forever I'd love to have one as a pet. Now I have a pup that will do just that. Always look like a baby.
DaneK - I try to tell myself "Stay calm and let karma finish it".
I want another 24 hours of sobriety and will hold fast to get them.
