Babs - yikes how scary for you! So glad your hubby is doing fine and not drinking! I'm sure it all was/is very stressful.

Governor just issued a shelter in place for our county. I'm not sure how much different that will look than what we've been doing, only going out to the supermarket when absolutely necessary. The boys start virtual homeschooling tomorrow so that should be interesting. It has been nice having them home, well you know, when they're not trying to kill each other.

You should message Sunflowerlife and talk strategies re how not to murder your kids when they keep fighting. Not sure if you know her....she is a very close friend.

yes, my patience ---well, lets just say I'm sitting on them right now and don't dare let them loose------I put my hubby back in the hospital this morn. he has high blood pressure and fluid on his lungs. Since we got back from Arizona his blood pressure is goofy. it was 185 over 91 and they gave him morphine and blood pressure meds and water retention pills and etc. sooo---they are keeping him over night and said he should feel good by morning. and with this virus stuff going around I was worried as to which hospital but, I guess where he is at will be ok. at this point all I can say is ---it will be ok.
I should be cleaning out some closets or something since I can't go any where but, think I'll put the tv on in stead. or maybe bake. just kinda numb. this madness has to stop pretty soon ----right?
Hugs--I feel better already feeling sorry for myself and unloading it on you guys.

You are being an incredible angel for your husband love.....take some you-time while you know he is being well looked after in the hospital.

Oh Babs - sorry this is such a stressful time for you! I'm glad your hubby is in the hospital being looked after. I agree with everyone else, put your feet up and relax while you can - just try not to watch the news!

Day 2 of homeschooling - we're getting into a routine of sorts.

The drinking memes that people post aren't any funnier now than during the hurricanes. I know people are trying to cope through humor but I'll never see the humor in those.

It was kind of an accidental decision....I simply never had time, but now I am a happy camper to never see another drinking meme.

They don't bother me, it I've noticed in recent years that certain folk, two of my nieces for sure, if you took away the drink related posts from their fb pages there would be literally nothing there!

He has dyslexia. Every assignment is a struggle for him. His resource teachers are trying but it's not the same as being at school. He's repeating the 3rd grade this year and he's still very behind

Duff, my husband has dyslexia and was also held back in school. He struggles so hard to this day...I understand what you guys are going through...
Hubby is still struggling getting medications straightened out...it takes awhile and we just have to b patient...he goes to therapy now so,maybe that will help also.
Hope everyone is hanging in there...I know it gets difficult at times...just ask me ! ! !

Oh wow, Babs. The good news is that he's gotten a lot of early intervention and he's got great resource teachers but I've been told he'll likely always struggle. You're right, we need to just be patient. Is he progressing in his recovery? How are YOU doing?

Well, my BIL was the same, and he struggled badly, and with love and good teaching he ended up a multi-millionaire with degrees in finance and law.

My dyslexic half sister Passed her social work degree at 50. She is a role model.
