One Year & Over Part 69
Morning Overs
These weeks are sure passing quickly. It’s nearly July.
I think on one hand, I’m going to look back and have regrets for what I didn’t do...
Then on the other hand, I don’t want a lot from life, nowadays, just to be content and happy and I’ve reached both those goals.
Have a good Friday my friends xx

Have a lovely POETS Day, Overs. I’m off on an all day boat trip today :-)
Oh how AWESOME Sassy love!!! I hope you have lots of sunscreen.
And Germany for the weekend sounds like a wonderful thing for a teenager Andy...
Nick went there with school as well, on a mini-exchange program for a number of weeks...he told me a story the other day about being on the back of a Harley on the Autobahn with his house parent, and there was no sissy bar.
I was like....you were on the back of a Harley on the Autobahn? Holy moly. He said he had these two little bike handles, and he held on for dear life.
Happy and content is kind of everything dear Mags, don't you think? xx

Morning Overs
Andy, I hope your youngest has a great trip to Germany.
Sassy, how was your boat trip, do you see any fish in the sea there?
Suze, that sounds like an hair raising drive for Nick on the Autoban.
Yes Suze, I believe it is.
Mr.M just came hobbling through from the bedroom making an almighty noise, he can’t put any weight on one of his legs. Think he twisted it slightly when strumming the hedges yesterday. I gave him my walking stick and he hobbled back to bed, chuntering! (It’s nearly 5am, not his time to get up, )
Have a good weekend my friends xx

Good morning, Overs!
Mags, I hope Mr Mags’ leg is better soon. Never heard the term “chuntering” before - it’s wonderfully descriptive :-)
The boat trip was delightful. I missed a few spots with the sunscreen but otherwise is was fun.

Hey Overs! The time is flying. I thought I'd just posted here yesterday but it's been three days!
Andy have you ever see a Starling murmuration? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmO4Ellgmd0
Mags,
Here is a good comparison. It is roughly 677 miles from England to Germany: https://www.bing.com/search?q=distan...ZI&form=MOZLBR
Just going two states over from here to Colorado Springs is 912 miles: https://www.bing.com/search?q=distan...2076F4BF637CC2Sorry about hubby. I had to look chumphering up too!
Sassy,
Glad the boat trip went well.
We stop and get a room in Amarillo Texas, which is 555 miles from here, a bit more than halfway. That makes day two easier and shorter so we can take it easy. That is just Louisiana, through the shorter top part of Texas: https://www.bing.com/maps/directions...&mode=D&trfc=0

Morning Overs
Sassy, Willow, ‘chuntering’ is one of Mr.M’s favourite pastimes!
Itchy, I’ve seen the starling murmurations here, a beautiful sight to see.
That’s some travelling, Itch! Our roads seem so congested it’s not comfortable driving anymore. Though ‘Smart Motorways’ are coming into force, to stop the speeding and regulate driving so it will be smoother and not so much slowing down and even stopping.
It’s a lovely quiet morning here, just gone 5am, so officially morning!
Hope it’s a good Sunday for you my friends. xx

Yep,
You're six hours ahead of the Central US time zone, we have four in CONUS, (Continental US) five if you count Hawaii. I was creeped out the first time I saw one - I was very young.
Here the speed limits have gone to 75 mph or 120 kph for those metric oriented. So the roads are fine traveling, just a bit slower in cities.

When our daughter & gson visited us in Boston, we took them on what we jokingly referred to as a 'whale dodging trip' as whenever our boat went to where they had been sighted, they had moved on we got a free pass for a second trip and managed that later in their break, and this time had them surfacing right in front of us on the boat really close up, we got some fantastic pictures!
Hi Overs. I hope you’re all having (had) a good weekend. It’s Monday morning here
Wow Itchy that starling murmuration is incredible! I’ve never seen anything like it. Another new word for me too!
Chuntering and murmuration, creating opposite types of emotions in people, from grumbling to wonder.
Perhaps watching a murmuration could be an antidote for Mr M’s chuntering Mags?
Sassy I love seals. We saw quite a lot when we went on a trip to New Zealand a few years ago. They’re so beautiful. We have whales migrating up the coast here each year. Usually around August. It’s a spectacular sight

How time flies- it seems like only yesterday when the bored, job experience young lad was here to pointlessly leaf blow the 50 or so leaves back into the carpark....
Mind I saw an old guy the other day- on a busy thoroughfare lots of Autumn trees dropped leaves- hundreds of thousands of leaves. It was very windy so leaves going everywhere, but the plucky old guy was leaf blowing all the leaves- just in front of his front fence, nowhere else. Or another old guy who with a house vacuum cleaner- vacuumed his lawn every afternoon.
