Lots of coffee and pushing the mindful crap.
I have been very sore of late- another little reminder on why recovery is so important, as the soreness stems from getting fried. So-a matter of doing stuff, rest- do more stuff- rest, do mindful crap, do more stuff..blahdeblah.
So much better than boozing, but.
Unit inspection (the management call them 'cottages'), tomorrow- but first seeing a dietician. I have been slowly gaining weight ever since getting my car- which I think still was a very good thing. I used to say to myself I could give up booze by willpower, then had to get support- so that is the tack I am taking with weight loss- lots of support.

Suze - I had a bug week before last. It wasn't fun. I broke down and went to the doctor. I had a stupid ear infection. Take care of you.
PHX - I gained soooo much weight when I got sober. I just now am back at the weight where I started. Working on the last 20 now. Good job seeing someone. That's pretty good thinking.
Hey BBG! I got 7 hours. Pretty pleased with that.
MITA - my daughter is in Phoenix right now and I think she has fallen in love and wants to stay there. She cannot stop talking about the beauty there.

So, I started working on my sun room and next to the door to enter my house I made a sign and framed it. It says. "Come on in, we're freaking awesome." I thought you guys would appreciate that. lol

Purps, Mindfulness crap Monday it is. It will be a great week though!
Bobbie, it’s been some great weather here and the desert is in full bloom still. If she’s got a little spare time she should do a quick trip up to Sedona. That would solidify her desire to move here!!

I got to witness some epic binge drinking last night. It wasn’t pretty and if you ever need a booster shot for your sobriety efforts, you might want to expose yourself to someone binging. It’s not a comfortable experience, and maybe not for everyone. I watched a guy I know, after drinking through a reception at a conference and dinner, finish up his night by drinking 6 beers in less than an hour. He was practically incoherent by the end. Truly a mess and a bit sad.

I would be dead MITA. So would a lot of people I think....my nephews are all very thin, two out of three of them have been in hospital with alcohol poisoning after just doing what a lot of insane young people do.....the all-night drinking party....or as all night as they can manage.

My doctor tells me that people at the lower end of the BMI chart for normal, have a lower incidence of recurrence of breast cancer. So I lost some weight and immediately started freaking out that I was losing weight because of cancer recurrence. Can’t win on the peace of mind thing. Stopped losing weight so I feel less scared and I’ll try for another 10 pounds now that I know I’m the one controlling this operation!
My new medication is known to cause weight gain and high cholesterol...not to mention joint and muscle pain, and so weight loss is about to get harder. As it is, I’m dizzy all the time and very drowsy 24/7. Just need to power through though and hopefully my body will adapt. This med is still better than metastatic breast cancer so I will suck it up!

Purp, Mondays are just awful. Thinking about retirement myself....and in that case....every day becomes like a weekend.

Lillian, wow. If I were in your shoes I’m not sure if I’d more concerned or more confused. That’s a heck of a lot to manage and I’m sorry you’re so tired. Eat well and get as much rest as you can. Big hugs.
