Much diff than surgery b4 Xms- that was a circus- preop assessments, 3-different dates in Unit, half a day tests preop- ECG etc, then later- surgery.
Including commute time- around 40 hours over4 weeks

The anxiety (flashbacks etc) much worse than being here

I was given the 'airline hostess ' type talk on side effects, but this time mentioned strokes, death...and maybe needing to gouge out most of my little finger meat and putting a wire in. And maybe needing to do a deep skin harvest in the groin area- but alas, nay gentle readers- small graft near birthday dent, in until at least Monday

24 needed. Really amazing how quickly spring has sprung with pollen, weeds and that warm vibe in full swing here in DC. Cherry blossoms have been about the best this year.

🎊🎈🎉 Congratulations to everyone who achieved a milestone today! 😘

Today, my milestone is day 4. Woke to a particularly frightening nightmare which had a plot exactly like a crime show I watched the other night. Those shows are getting more and more gruesome and not really good for my peace of mind. Time to stop.

I am committing to another 24 hours of sobriety today.
