24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 437
“Watch the sunrise at least once a year, put a lot of marshmallows in your hot chocolate, lie on your back and look at the stars, never buy a coffee table you can’t put your feet on, never pass up a chance to jump on a trampoline, don’t overlook life’s small joys while searching for the big ones.” ~ H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Thanks Dee! And thanks Abcowboy for today's quote. I love it. Especially the part about the marshmallows in hot chocolate and the coffee table. And the sunrise and the stars. And the trampoline and of course the small joys. Actually, I love all of it xxxx
Proud of you for coming back so fast....and glad you are talking: we all care very much. With you every step here. ♥♥
Another 24 of learning how to be a proper grown up please. I emailed the headmaster of my younger kids' school on Friday about something that happened last Wednesday. I wasn't sure at the time whether I should raise a complaint so I slept on it for 2 nights before raising a complaint. Now I feel a little anxious waiting for his response. It's funny .... When I was drinking I had no fear about complaining about stuff .... I was feisty, fearless and quick to anger. Now, I'm so keen to avoid drama I often feel uncomfortable standing up for myself. I'd rather keep quiet than deal with the repercussions. But there's a little voice inside my head that tells me when I need to speak up.... No matter how difficult the subsequent discussions may be. And this voice also tells me to stay calm and remember that I'm a grown up. I can make my point, listen to the other person's view and work towards a resolution without feeling sick with fear, losing my temper or drinking over resentment. I guess I'm realising that my search for balance is a life long quest. Love to everyone and 24 more for me please xxxx
I am kind of hoping it was about that teacher chastising your son for yawning in class and making such a drama of it....I know as a mum that would have bothered me terribly. And as for seeing others' points of view? You and Dee are my number one teachers in this area....you are remarkably good at this. Very pragmatic and patient.
Love you buckets. ♥♥
