Thanks for the congrats guys. Monday is the day!

4 Years always seemed elusive. Now I’m so happy to be here. Just the changes in my brain have been amazing. I finally survived after nearly completely losing my career. Life is good.

Snooz, you worry me when you are quiet, what’s up?

Hope you are tracking ok, Pete.

Love to all.xx

Hiya Julyers

Pete, is it today you run your half marathon? All the best for the race, hope your ribs are ok.

CW, I’m so pleased life is good. I agree that being sober let’s our brains get back to how they should, helping us build a good life.

Happy Mother’s Day for all who are celebrating today. You deserve a medal!

Hi gang,

It is absolutely awesome that you're coming up on 4 years my sober twin CW!
I'm so grateful that you came back to our lil group.

Hi Mags,
So glad you're here to always be a listening ear with great feed back.

Pete,
Hope you do great in the marathon run. I've never been able to sustain in long distance running.

Suze, hope you're getting some spring weather. Soon we'll be planting the gardens.

PJ,
Hope you're able to continue doing some art these days.

Hope to hear from you soon Snoozums!

I have been quite busy with work and some repairs on my truck.
I'm thankful that the weather has turned and things can be done outside now.
I've made arrangements for my daughter to fly home in early May. Look so forward to seeing her again.
Love you all.

Hiya Julyers

Bob, it’s good you don’t have to make the long drive this time to pick your daughter up, not that you’d mind if you did! Yeah, these lighter, longer days are great!

I guess it’s the time of year we start thinking of holidays, but you know, I’m not one for going away on holiday. I’ve tried it a few times but I like my home nowadays and quite happy pottering about here.
Our holidays as children were always a disaster with my dad drinking too much, then running out of money and us going home early! Comical really.

Hope everyone is ok, have a good day

Omg I can’t believe you had to go home early as a kid because of money lost to drinking. So sad

CW, it was more annoying and quite honestly I was always glad to go home, holidays always being an anti climax.

I think PJ is around here somewhere. Hi PJ

Hi Bob love ~ my willow tree is full of leaf buds and about to burst open....I am proud that my tree is always the first to come back here....and there are tons of trees. The birds are going crazy out there, the geese are honking up a storm as they all come back, and last year's dead plants are alive again....yep.....my hydrangeas come back as well as my dianthus and primulas.....cannot WAIT to get to Lowes this week and begin the re-flowering of the garden.

This is one HUGE benefit of living in a cold climate....I have never experienced the changing of the seasons in this way before. I love it.

Love to all of you. xx

Hi guys

I’m ok, I’m here :-)

I know you probably think I’ve gone back on the grog when I’m quiet.
Truth is I’ve been quite busy.

Had 3 visits to the hospital with Mum last week all by ambulance, but everything is settled for the moment, so all is good.

I’ve been spending a lot of time with my daughter Katie, you all said the girls would come around in their own time and they have. It’s been fantastic..

Katie and I love op shopping, so we have been doing a bit of that on her days off.

I spose you haven’t caught up with MAFS Crois as you gallivant all over the world lol.
It’s been the best season. Full of drama &nonsense , I love it.

I’ll catch up on some posts tomorrow as it’s 3.44 am and I better get some sleep.

I have an apt in the morn.

Love you all xoxo

:hug

Hey all. Sorry for not posting since my trip away, life gets a bit manic sometimes. The new forest was really nice. Used Airbnb and stayed in a lodge at someone’s farm in the middle of nowhere. It was really nice to get away.

The half marathon was yesterday, I’m still feeling it today. Did 1 hour 46 minutes which was a pb by 4 minutes. Went off way too fast so the second half was a struggle. Now to rest up for a few days before I start training for another race.

Hope youre all okay. Missed you all the past week!

Hey Snooz - I think it's more than we want to know whats going on in your life etc

It'd get very weary for me if I thought everyone not posting went back out...but I am glad to hear all is well. hope your mum continues to improve

Congrats on the PB Pete

Hey snooz! Omg MAFS. I left half way through and my daughter is saying it’s sooooo full of drama. And no! It’s not online. I might even have to stay in the US longer so Ninenow version replay might be gone by the time I get back too! Bugger!

Every day I have to explain where my accent is from. I’m sure many people can’t understand a word I say, haha.

Pete, pleased you had a good time in the forest. I hear there’s good deals to be had with airbnb.

I started watching in the line of duty, hadn’t bothered with it before but insomnia found me watching it about a month ago and couldn’t get enough of it. The. New series has just started, it didn’t disappoint.

Hope everyone is ok, I’m struggling today with the asthma, it may be the pollen outside, I’m not sure. But I’ve got it under control, no worries.

CW, my friends brother spent a long time in Australia with relatives and when he returned I couldn’t understand him at all to start with, he may as well as been talking another language! , I liked the dialect though!

Have a good sober day Julyers.
