A Different Path Part 16
I miss seeing Kathy on the gratitude thread
Linner, I feel the same. Beautiful the way this community came together for Kathy and for each other. I am grateful the family is streaming her service and look forward to watching and sharing it with you all.

All the best to you Gilmerati out there.
It is amazing that Kathy touched so many people on what after all is a site that boozers and users turn to when they need help. It's a great testimony to her good heart.

A memory I'll always have is on the, what has now become a traditional yearly NFL thread in the Cafe . . . Kathy on our Soberversary jumped in to post and wish some mutual congratulations.
In many years I had never seen the name Gilmer on any of the NFL threads, and it really touched me, sometimes you never realise how many members read and are aware of threads that we contribute to, but never post, they sit back and let us get on with our thing here on SR, amongst the corridors of this place that we wander, where we have met some truely amazing people, and now call home.
. . . but that day . . . Kathy made her presence known, and just through such a simple gesture, it lit up my entire day.
There are Sober Giants that have walked amongst us here on SR . . . who will never be forgotten . . . and the name Gilmer is on that roll call!!

Soberlight so true. Beautiful sentiments here. She would be so proud we are keeping her spirit alive, supporting each other but most of all spreading love. Wishing all Gilmerites a wonderful and relaxing night.
