24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 422
24 more please. We've been working on a underground water leak for a week now and just found it today and fixed it. Alot of stress, hard work and mostly digging every spare daylight moment but we got it fixed for under $25 and are no longer losing 100+ gallons a day! I was thinking of how miserable I would have been during this time if I had been drinking. Out there in the cold, miserable and cursing life and our situation, trying to keep my hands warm between holding a beer and smoking cigarettes.
My 30th birthday is next week and my bf's is the day after mine. We will be 10 and 11 months sober. I have stopped smoking cigarettes although I am using a juul but my lungs are healing. I'm starting to run on trails instead of just hike. I have dreamed of being sober and tobacco free at 30 but part of me is still slightly shocked. All of me is super grateful.
Last week my sponsor basically said "I'll see ya around" after I turned down an invitation to a party she was having. I feel relieved. I still enjoy meetings and am grateful for what AA has given me these past months. I love the steps and we had just finished 11 so I guess I will work the last one on my own and continue to attend meetings when I want.
Happy December to all of you beautiful people. I feel grateful to be able to post with you tonight and pledge another 24 <3

So excited because tonight I start fundraising for Crisis at Christmas - a charity that raises money for homeless people. I will be wearing a santa hat and Rudolph antlers whilst shaking a bucket and asking the kind people of London to put their hands in their pockets and dig deep. The temperature here is currently 0° and is set to fall to -3° tonight and there are plenty of people trying to sleep outside in that. Breaks my heart and makes me feel so grateful for everything I have. 24 more hours please xxxxx
