A Different Path Part 7
It's funny.....my life has been so different than so many of my friends here.
My parents were English/Scottish Aussies from Russians and Poles before that...
Never in a million years would I or my sisters have gotten away with that. At all. And we would not have been able to throw more than one thing. After that, boy oh boy.....we would suffer the consequences. Bad behaviour was not allowed. A tantrum like that would have meant being grounded for at least 3 months. Maybe 6.
And your daughter was still going to get breakfast darling Leigh.....what a lucky girl.

I saw the opposite on a young lady (abou t4) at the mall mall near me yesterday.
She looked like Wednesday- facial expression wise, from the Addams Family, although a very pale, blond girl.
Her and her 2 smaller bro's were on a tiny round-a-bout car ride thing, going around in circles. The 2 boys would high 5 Gramps each turn and shout out a superhero they wanted to be..'BATMAN!'..laugh, hysterical laugh- around- SPIDERMAN! Laugh....
The young lady folded her arms so tightly across her chest- I am surprised she did not break ribs...and a steely, murderous silence- and the look she gave Gramps! Gramps added to this by ruffling the girl's otherwise perfect hair. If looks could kill....SPIDERMAN,LAUGH!, BATMAN! LAUGH! Steely, murderous silence...repeat.
I hope all is well, Gilly.

Hi, Sao!
I am in the mountains till tomorrow morning. We got here about noon, because my husband had to pain two doors and have them dry by next weekend, when he'll have helpers up here to install them.
I won't accompany him next weekend, because I find some of the helpers' wives and kids taxing--but I will be here again from the 18th to the 20th for a Deacons' Retreat.
The leaves on the October Glory maples along the driveway here are still mostly green, with just a few leaves beginning to turn yellow.
I really hope that we get a result like this in a couple weeks:
Most of the time, though, because we're not full-time residents here, it ends up being the "tree that fell in the forest and nobody heard."

I just got a ride up the hill on the back of an ATV to see the progress on the family graveyard. The pathway in and the basic lot has had the trees cut down (it is 60' x 40'); however, the contractor has only been able to work one day out of the last three weeks. I can see why, because the place is an absolute mudpit with all the recent rain!
Eventually all the stumps will removed, as well as big rocks, and it will be securely filled in with dirt; then a black aluminum fence will be put in around the perimeter.
It was interesting to see the progress.
I haven't had a whole lot of nausea lately--this all feels so fake.

Not to trivialize your condition, Kathy, but I am a big believer in "live well to feel well" and you have been doing just that. You are having fun and yet mindful of when you need to rest, it is a good thing. I am so glad the nausea has subsided.
The trees here are a week or two behind changing as well, I think because there was so much sunlight. The maples are my favourite, they turn fire orange and the hills are spectacular.

Good morning, Kathy! I agree with what Ann and Anna said. You are living each day fully and are a huge inspiration to me. I feel that the people on this thread surround you with love and support; at the same time you give us your love and your strength. Thank you for being you
