A Different Path Part 7

Love it, Venus!
Me too. This morning two foxes, now grown kits from this years baby boom, came over the hill behind my garden and walked right by my patio door...took one look at the lady standing there with bed hair and no makeup, and ran like the wind to head home.
I love this part of the day, the quietude and watching nature awaken is the perfect start to any day.
Hope your day is blessed, Kathy...with or without your hair combed.

Laughing out loud......oh oh oh I hope one of those clever foxes took a quick pic....they could make a fortune on Youtube....
And me too....love the early morning before the light....if only it wasn't 85% humidity and no breeze. Sigh.

My daughter and her kids have come over to our house for a sleepover. Her husband is entertaining an old college friend, and they'd like to hang out and catch up with an adult beverage and some peace and quiet (he's a normie, but he does have a fatal flaw: he's an uber-irritating craft beer snob).
But I mustn't complain too much: he did subject himself to the subtitles of Babette's Feast, and he is willing to try the turtle soup that I intend to make on the 14th.
My 4-y-o silent and generally Oscar-like grandson has suddenly turned into Mr. Gabbypants. He asks me a million questions, so I answer politely.
Because I'm spending an extra ten seconds talking to him, my 7-y-o granddaughter is sulking because I "like him better than her."
I'd obviously better get off here and pay attention to her, PRONTO!

Kathy, have a great time with your grandkids. They sound so cute. Hope your feeling well today.
Hi Leigh, I sure hope you and your husband are feeling better.
Prayers and love for you both. Aly xxoo

I had just walk in the door from the mountains when the kids arrived, and I had to babysit while my daughter ran one of them to a dr appt.
I felt overwhelmed. The house smelled kind of musty, it was piled high with boxes and backpacks and laundry strewn about—then my daughter came equipped for their stay with four big duffel bags.
I’m still overwhelmed!
I’ll discreetly come upstairs for a nap in about an hour.
