Thanks, you guys.

PJ, my dad showed me how to escape safely in case of fire--but I never had a plan for sneaking back in! Besides, I would have been way too uncoordinated to climb, pounce, shimmy, etc. I had a key to the front door--and if my parents caught me discreetly slipping in while under the influence, I just took the tirade. :-)

Not everything there had an identifying placard.

It’s nice to know they are mandevillas.

There were so many flowering plants that were really breathtaking, but I was too far away for my phone camera to do them justice.

We had dinner with my husband’s college roommate and his wife last night. It was a lot of fun.

Now we’re driving home.

Thanks! I’ll try!

I plan to spend tomorrow morning lounging around. A lady will hopefully stop by before lunch to take away a few books. Then hopefully more lounging.

At 4 we’re expecting our friends from Tennessee for dinner. Their son and his wife, who live nearby, just had a baby, so they’re up doing the grandparent thing. I’m glad we will have a chance to catch up with one another.

Then around 6 my kids and family will assemble once again, this time for the final official family photos with Mom.

The sons were just here from out of town last weekend—and it wasn’t long before that that they were visiting for my bucket list activities, so they’re really not excited about the prospect of driving all the way back up here.

But a nice steak dinner ought to sweeten the pot for them.

Sunday should just be church in the morning, then continuous lounging for the rest of the day.

Hi Kathy. I loved your pictures. I especially liked your family home. That's SOME big lawn to mow! As I was reading your last post, I originally read, "Then around 6 of my kids.....". I thought, "OMG! More than 6 kids! " . How many children do you have, Kathy?

Continuous lounging sounds superb! Do you do anything special while lounging? Enjoy your day and steak dinner. .

I meant to say “around 6, my kids...”

Though it often feels like I’m the old woman who lived in a shoe, I actually only have 5 kids.

A girl (32), boy (30), girl (29), boy (23), and another boy (20).

I’ve got a granddaughter (7), grandson (4), other grandson (2), other grandson (1), and a bun in the oven of unknown gender.

Gilly, no sorry- a wha...a key? Does that not transgress the unwritten law of teenagers? Are they not obligated to make everything much more difficult than it is?

One parish my dad had lots of grass- paddocks and stuff- thus a huge ride on mower. I used to drive it around the cemetery chasing rats.

Marathon Nanananaps- brilliant. I do those sometimes.

King Rat lived in a family vault and was so fat- he hopped. Never caught him, but.

During my lounge time this weekend I will hopefully finish up a couple of books and maybe watch TV.

And of course surf SR!
