Hi all. Sorry to hear about your rough patch Treebeard. I've seen counselors before when I've gone through bouts of depression and anxiety and I've found them to be helpful. The self talk we put ourselves through is often 1000% worse than reality.

Morning everyone,
Day 19 here.

Still get cravings, I'm learning just to let them pass.
Have a good day everyone.

True. I know I worry more than reality lives up to. A lot of times, I’m just anxious with no thoughts at all. After 51 years, I’ve learned to recognize it and not attach ideas to it, most of the time.

I definitely spend too much time on social media. I love pix of friends doing stuff and everyone’s kid pix (fur as well as regular babies). There’s just so much fear and anger baiting in headlines and posts. I don’t know how people have the energy for it. It eats away at me.

Well, Day 46 and still living hangover free.

Evening all.

I’ve eaten a LOT today. I’m not interested in losing weight (I could do with it but I’m happy to be sober a couple of months before I attend to that) and I do LOVE food. I’ve eaten a lot of if today. Gert lush

Away this weekend including a meal out tomorrow. Will need to plan a bit for that but iced water here I come

Hi class, sober time is moving along at a good clip. Sober 6weeks and a few days. I've been kind of disengaged from SR lately and focusing on myself. Not a bad thing really. Had a week of camping with the kids and I've restarted an exercise routine this week. Next weekend we are taking the kids to an amusement park and staying overnight for 3 nights. Hoping the weather cooperates. Going to go dig potatoes out of my garden today and make some elderberry pies. Have a good one!

Evening all

I’m going to keep going on here. Please feel free to come back and play!!

Two reasons for persevering - in case anyone needs the support or wants to come back at some point

But mainly because it’s my accountability and I’m sticking with it as it’s working for me

Night

I have no problem with you keeping the July flame alive Ben - but if you're not getting the feedback you want Ben I'm sure you'd be welcome to also post in the August thread or the Under One Year thread as well

Hey ben, good work staying sober over the weekend!

Had enought potatoes from the garden to make stew and also made the pie today, both turned out pretty good. Kept me out of trouble anyways

Morning all. I wake up at 5.45am every morning since sober. I don’t know if I like that or not?!

Balance of work and patio-ing today

Evening all

Very few cravings at all, went to pub today for a short period to get lunch, ordered orange juice and lemonade without thinking. It wasn’t a ‘test’, I didn’t think about it.

Loving sober life. Not perfect and nor am I, but when I remember the misery I was in....it’s like being born again (and that’s from an atheist)

Morning all. Lovely sober sleep, i can’t get enough of waking up clear and rested

Got my kids and their friends today, keeping it simple til 6.30. Then I’ve got a meal out, that’s simple too but needs me to be aware that it’s a risk. Orange juice and lemonade hoooooooooooo!!

Have a good one everyone
