And thank you Suze for that lovely quote. I am an utter control freak! It's exhausting! My next challenge will be when Hannah's exams finish and I'll have literally nothing to nag her about! How will I cope?!
I'm just having a little rest after my morning of work. I'm trying to take a more measured approach to each day rather than rush around like a mad woman. It's a little experiment to see if I can avoid burn out brain fog which I seem to get quite a lot. I put myself under silly pressure to do things perfectly and to be honest I'm not up to it. My poorly brain goes bang so I'm trying something new.
Bless Melly has her drama production of Mary Poppins this week. She is a bumble bee (I have no idea!) and I can't wait to go see her! Plus it is Prom for Hannah on Friday . She is wanting to go to an "after party" after the actual prom. It's a thing apparently...... I will be okay with it but she will have to let me pick her up. That's my rule. Now that I'm safe to drive all the time I feel better collecting her making sure she's okay. I think it's important to allow her freedom to make her own choices whilst ensuring she's safe. She will be leaving home in under 2 years so no point babying her now.
Lots of love to everyone. I just love seeing our safe little community looking after one another.
24 please! ❤❤❤
After parties are a thing here, too, JoJo.

Scientists have recently discovered a new bioluminescent bug that performs a strange dance any time there is a full moon.

They are calling it a Raving Luna Tick.

There's worse than that on the horizon......shes going to Leeds Festival in August and I've told her that she gets collected or she doesn't go. She is going for 2 days and only when I've seen the whites of her eyes will she go on day 2!
Somehow I want to get this bit right. Enough freedom for a 16 year old but not too much that she's in risky situations. This is new territory for me thank God for my own sobriety!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is certainly a tough thing to parent a teenager. Hard to find that balance to give them their freedom but also protect them. I am not looking forward to those years with my own daughter! You seem like you have a pretty good handle on it!

10:50 am. Day 6. AV is bugging me a bit now that I am alone a lot and less busy over the summer. Going to stay strong, keep busy, and enjoy life completely sober!

Tell that AV "thanks for sharing" and who asked you to pipe up anyway?

Honestly, it's just rude....just drops in unannounced and uninvited. And just creates anxiety and problems. We need a sign on the door.....the AV is not welcome in this house.

Day 3 almost completed. Manning the stalls at Uni was uneventful, but we had some good sales over the weekend...

I'm going to a meeting now, but after I'm done I think I'm gonna call it a day and go to bed early... I'm exhausted. My cuts are badly infected, red, swollen and painful. Hopefully antibacterial wash helps, and I won't have to go to the doctor again... I'm just really embarrassed by all this and I don't want anyone to be looking at me.

Hope you have a great day.

24 more, pretty please.
