Class of October 2014 Part 44
Work in process over here, Mark. Can’t do it all at once. Sod is very expensive up here. $1.50 a sqft in some places. We tend to start from seed either in September or early spring. I aerated and seeded my whole place last fall. A lot of it has come up already, but I’ll need to do more after all the tree work that was done.
Snow storm today. Say we could get up to a foot of the white stuff. Looks like a midnight plow. Have a great day team.

Yep, guess I should've asked what type of grass rather than sod. Locally we use mostly centipede, St Augustine and Bermuda.
And my stars I'm seeing lots of blue on the radar up New England way. The most snow I've ever seen was in sequoia national park years ago. It was breathtaking in all those magestic trees.
I hope the Arbor clan stays nice and snug.

We are getting hit HARD. This is the second nor’easter to hit us in a week. Trees and power down everywhere. This is a disaster. Not getting out tonight to plow. Code red in town. No one allowed on the streets. It’s too dangerous.
Most folks plant the spoiled brat Kentucky blue up this way. I like to mix it in with ryes and fescues though. That way if something happens insect, disease, or drought wise your whole lawn isn’t killed.
All this lawn talk and I won’t prolly see mine for weeks now. Ugh!

I don't know a thing about fescue, but my centipede and st augustine is slowly creeping into my neighbor's bermuda. My yard service has almost gotten rid of the nutsedge, but an ongoing battle it is.
Youngest daughter en route to disney, oldest daughter headed to New Orleans for a few days then on to meet my wife in Tucson. Me, I'm gonna work!....and enjoy the solitude a bit. Speaking of work, gotta get to it.
