I was told today- no pets after asking 5 minutes worth of questions yesterday and being reassured I could. Silly people, a company that has interests in housing all over the wrold, one would like to think they know what they are on about.

Another great week drawing to a close, Overs. Things are going great and I hope everyone is ready for a restful, healthy weekend.

PJ, sounds like you're settling into your new abode. Upward and onward, you're making great strides!

Gotcha J.

Hope you can hack through the red tape. Animals are sometimes more than pets.

Eggszactly. In the US we have "support animals" or "service animals." They are allowed to fly, etc, but you need medical and vet authorization. Get the Oz version of that for your pet, unless its an alligator or something, and you should be good to go with the housing people.

PJ, we’ve got holiday places now in the U.K. where you can take your pet with you. It’s getting very pet friendly, in some areas. Hope you get it resolved.

OOT, the service animal thing has become a problem, like so many other well-meaning programs that end up being spoiled by entitled people. I found out that one can obtain certification through the internet - and it is apparently valid. Here at the OFH it is a real issue.

Have a terrific POETS Day, all.

Oh I know, it's being gamed by entitled peeps. I used the alligator reference because I was telling Mrs. Tiles that I'm going to get a "service alligator" and insist on taking him on planes with me! She wasn't amused.

Good morning folks.

PJ I've had good luck using acetone to get gunk off. I've heard rubbing alcohol works well but haven't tried that myself.

Taking some quiet "me time" before I start my day. Have a good one overs!

There were peacocks and peahens that used to free range roam my neighborhood. They were owned by a guy down the hill and he let them walk around all day. Eventually he died and the birds were relocated but I kind of miss them. They were unbelievably loud. Once one was sitting on the hood of my car when I tried to go to work one morning and I had to shoo him off.

Good afternoon Overs.

Mrs T's cancer markers have fallen from 1700 to 950 in the last four weeks! Zero is the target.

I know where I live you need a GP or other medical professional to sign off on service animals in Governmental housing, might be the same in SA PJ?
