Really positive day:
~didn't drink, good start
~feel mentally weller at last
~the dog loves me again
~I got some ordinary things done
~bought a like topiary made from living plant with christmas lights on it and I'm just in love with it, and I keep going to the kitchen to admire him.
I shall put him on the windowsill for others to see.
So glad all those who slipped up are back, we love you here, and it's a better place than on your own with a bottle. Well, actually anywhere is better than that, come to think of it.
What Phoenix says, there's nothing a drink can't make worse.

Thank you! Back from a really great morning at the zoo. It was rainy and pretty darn cold, but on a positive note, there were no crowds. Had the sea otters all to ourselves, and although it was too cold for the hippos, I did pick up a funny Hipsterpotamus t-shirt (appropriate now that we live in Portland). Hope you all are having a nice weekend - see you tomorrow!

Checking in for 24. Gradually feeling more awake. Dealing with 3 time zones was an interesting but not very pleasant experience. Oh, the sunshine is so welcome here !
