Checking in ~home from drum lesson. I am yet to learn a song in its entirety.....maybe that could be a good New Year resolution

Chakra meditation done + winding down for the night with some sleepytime tea

Flipping a couple of Steely Dan albums, then off to bed for me.

Yes, I still have a turntable - or as my kids call it "a vinyl player".

Mention some good brands of record player?

I have a hundred LPs, plus 45's, just waiting to be played again.

I think the first one I play will be "War of the Worlds" to hear Richard Burton again...

Can;t source the stylus for my old Phillips at a realistic price so I just bought a cheap ALDI turntable - it sounds pretty good through my system

Morning, class!

I don't have any vinyl, but my dad has tons and and least two or three turntables. He doesn't have anything I'm into though. Mostly old country and old gospel. Nothing as cool as Steely Dan or ABR.

Stay warm, Samantha.

Would be cool to listen to War of the Worlds, Caramel.

Hey, BBG! Have a great day!

Be awesome today, March people!!

I have all of my dads old vinyl. I stored them in the garage so I’m not sure if the heat has damaged them. His are all old country and 50 rock and roll.

PR - it seems that some male person has determined that the "man flu" is real and we should stop making fun of them.

I have a pretty basic Pro-Ject turntable that sounds just fine through my speakers. Audio-Technica has a broad range of offerings - something for every budget.

Bobbie, I saw some headline on man-flu but have not read it. I’m pretty sure it’s 100% factual.

Have a great day everyone!

I have a few turntables but no records anymore. Might have to raid my parent's house for all the classic vinyl.

RE: man-flu, I don't know that I've had it. Read an article that quoted the scientist (last name, Sue, is that ironic?) saying research was "suggestive" but not "definitive" regarding its existence. So there you have it, it may or may not be real.

Bad day today. Did not remain sober and have a dental appointment. Stupidly let anxiety (new procedure for me despite other extensive work) get to me and even more stupidly reached for a drink to lessen said anxiety even though it's the opposite. After my not so good physical I bought a BP monitor. First reading was better but still not good. Too afraid to take it today but I will anyway ahead of the appointment.

I hope all are doing well. It's been a little quiet for us.

Also, ChickChick whose been with this class lost her Mom. Prayers.

That's so sad. Thanks for letting us know, 13th.

Remember to take deep breaths. Hang in there. You can do it.

Very sad, thanks for letting us know, Thirteenth.

Good luck at the dentist. I've done that same thing in the past. Once had a root canal done after quite the bender - worst day of my life!! You'll be okay. Check back in and let us know how you are.
