Thirteenth

It was a root canal. It was my first. A walk in the park really. Annoying and costly but otherwise no big deal. I knew that would be the case but I still let it get to me and made poor decisions. I have to be more accountable to all of you and myself.

Hola all. Just checking in! I went to Costco today and bought a lot of stuff. Pretty crazy in there around the holidays, I guess. At least all my Christmas shopping is done. I just have to wrap it all up now. 😀

While my root canal was not fun, it was actually a relief after it was over - I was in a lot of pain from the infection/inflammation. Glad you are doing well, Thirteenth.

I start my shopping tomorrow - I am a terrible shopper.

That's the long and short of it. I let little, or big, things get to me and abandon sobriety. It's foolish and I know that when I do it. Playing the tape forward hasn't done it so more is needed.

I've tried to and wanted to be honest since joining this class. I suck at that. No I haven't lied directly, but I have lied by omission. I am committed to getting better yet never tell on myself to receive support. I promise that I don't want to be a drag on this class and I want to get better for you and myself.

Elfster.com makes things so much easier. Everyone creates a wishlist and you can add items from anywhere. You can even add generic items without a link, for instance I need a 12” balloon whisk. I don’t want a specific one so that’s the way I added it to my list. Everyone in my family uses it now.

Hi guys. Yay it's the weekend. Just ate a big plate of mashed potato, gravy and tomato sauce. My desert was a heap of chocolate covered liquorice bullets. Really hit the spot. Still sober. 65 days. Yay.

Backstory: Our morning radio guys have a rock band called Pitbull Toddler where they're always talking about "melting faces" at their shows....Galvin my favorite is the drummer, of course!

Just the other day Mike told a story of how he came home & his wife was saying it smelled like something was burning.....at first he was like "It's just because you turned the heat on" then realized holy crap, he smelled it too....he looked up at the place where he hid the elf-on-the-shelf dolls & they had gotten too close to the lights; parts of their heads were burnt off

So I Tweeted at them saying "Just tell your kids the elves got their faces melted at one of your gigs"

Evening All.

We saw Bad Moms Christmas last night - a few funny moments but totally not my kind of movie, and so much drinking. Would not have been my choice. There were lots of people dressed up as Princess Leia and Storm Troopers though for the Start Wars opening - which was kinda cool to see.

I was off today and really just spent the day doing nothing. I'm really struggling with a period of depression right now. Tweeking my meds has been really hard and we don't seem to have it figured out yet. Trying to just make intentional and conscious decisions but I'm struggling. Will see my doctor again next week. Feeling overwhelmingly alone and dark. Sorry for being a bit of a downer.

Ugh Thirteenth - I also have had a root canal....a big thumbs down. For me it's all the noises at the dentist's that make me anxious - why does every procedure from cleaning to extraction sound like they are breaking all your teeth?? Hope you recover quickly. Praying for Chick Chick and her family. P.S. You're not a drag on this class or anyone else.

Bobbie - I haven't even started shopping yet....stressing me out a little but having a hard time getting into the Holiday Spirit. And National Lemon Cupcake Day!! My advent calendar tea today was Lemon Pound Cake.....close enough!!

PR - I love my cats but 15?!? That many would probably be plotting to take over the world...or at least your house. They're brilliant demons.

Well I am back to work tomorrow so heading to bed soon. Time for pj's and tea. Night!

I'll swap my husband for 15 cats. He's annoying.
I'm starting my Christmas shopping today. Better late than never. I think I might do gift vouchers for the majority of pressies and let everyone buy what they want. Next year I will hopefully have a little more energy and actually get creative with pressies.

Morning. On my way to work and feeling exhausted. Sleep had been very hard to find lately. More so than even usual. Ah well....some startin’ fluid should help in shaking out the cobwebs.
