What beautiful prose Free !

" my current job is a joy yet I'm plagued by illness and pestilence. "

Biblical Egypt comes to mind ,...

I hope you feel better soon .

Travelled to Georgia for my last dental visit early today ,...and had enough time to fall asleep this afternoon outside on this sunny Spring day . Just back inside now after a few more hours on that interior paint job ,...I'm dragging along with .

Probably only 10 -12 hours left on that baby . Will be keeping an eye out on Craigslist for used base and wall cabinets from a remodel,... I have a few buddies,...and a distant cousin that are in the cabinet business,...so it should be easy enough to *find * some .
..eventually .

Oh, to able to have a snooze outside in the sun.....It's what dreams are made of. It goes without saying that It's still raining here!

That's great news about the dental work, Tops. It's been a long old haul, but it's over now, you must be feeling quite relieved about it.
Hope you have success with Craig's List.

Dee, hope all is well over there too. I would imagine it's getting cooler now?

Off to work now.....with plenty of tissues....have a great day all

Getting closer now . Just have clean-up to do and windex about 32 fixed glass panels inside and out on that interior paint job . Noticed a few spots failing on some exterior sills that need a little attention ( at some point )

The oak pollen has been thick yellow settling everywhere the last three or so weeks . Just found out what the bushels of this stuff that cover everything every couple days this time of year is called ,..... * catkin *

Congrats Up

glad to hear the dental work is done Tops

Hope you don't mind but I swapped out your link - we discourage folks from posting to Facebook - apart from anything else not everyone has access .

All good here Freein - it's been cooler the past few days - hopefully this is the turn

In for the bargain

I don't know if it's worth celebrating. I still haven't gotten my life together like I should have.
I'm finally starting to go in right direction, unfortunately too late for many important things.

Any days free from addiction are things to be celebrated in my book UP.
Sorry you feel stuck tho.
I missed out of a few things too - way I figure it I can stare at that closed door for the rest of my life.... or turn around and go through some new ones?

I've found those new doors are pretty good

Don't mind at all Dee ,..thanks . Never signed up for FB myself,. and usually avoid it like the plague because of that particular sign up access restriction .

Up,... all I can say about getting stuck ,...focused on what can never be changed considering lost chances . I think back 10 years and realize how wrong I was viewing things .

You may feel the same way when you get my age .

If we're lucky ,... we'll all realize one day the metal file in our proverbial birthday cake is there for a reason.

My biggest fear is starting over so late in life. Also, being angry at myself for taking SO long to finally start thinking clearly and realizing what is truly important.

Try to imagine ,......how early in the game it is ( as in April 2018 ) ,.... when your looking back in 10 years from April 2028 . If that doesn't seem to work,...imagine 20 years !?

Ain't nobody gettin' outta here alive . Sometimes a little sublime madness may be in order ,... shake it up some . If that's what it takes .

I'm no Big Book guy ,...but one of my favorite phrases in there is :

" Half measures availed us nothing "

I, for one anyway ,...have complete faith you can break free of any thinking that is holding you down Up .

Cool image Up . Looks like a young Gray Rat Snake .

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_ratsnake

Their beautiful pattern fades with age . My mom never allowed me to keep a snake more than three days ,....but the rat snakes ( yellow and gray ) and corn snakes and king snakes were prize snakes to catch and release ,.....since they're constrictors . They're easily tamed , ( smart ) ...super clean .

Since there is such a bias against snakes down here ,.... all the snakes I caught ,....I'd take them far, far out in the woods for release .

Hi Freein.

Evening all.

Not much to report. 2 potato cakes. 2 dim sims and a chicken roll for dinner. Washed down with a can of lemonade.....

Been really eating for some reason. Not good food either.

Still sober.

Hope all are well.
