No free, it's been to cold for me to go riding. Well, I could but I don't wanna.
Actually, I've been bad this winter about getting any exercise. I'm probably going to have to force myself to just do it.

Tops, what's N-1? I don't think I've come across that before. I think you're spot on with the cognitive enhancement, but I'd put that down to sober, healthy neurons. I'd read that it can take a couple of years for a brain to heal after many years of drinking. I'm really happy with my brain at the moment.....no dramas, even when there's plenty to be dramatic about!
It's great to hear you're seeing the same sort of benefits.
UP, I must admit, I had to force myself back on track with my workouts, even just a few weeks off, messed with my routine. Why are bad habits so easy to slip in to, but good habits so hard? It's like life is having a laugh at our expense
Hope you can get moving again soon, once you start you'll be back on it in no time.
The mornings and evenings are starting to get lighter now. I'm hoping to get some seeds sown in the greenhouse this weekend - tomatoes, sweet peas, peas and broad beans. Another growing season begins....
Take care all

Count me three . Thankful for sobriety, ... as the St. Patty's madness is getting cranked full on in Savannah today .
Back home in Carolina, ...the alarm will be ringing in 3 to get the skiff ready to splash in the river this am. My grans will be leaving to go back home to Tenn. tomorrow .
Keeping you and your family in my prayers Mariah .
Y'all have a good one.

Thank you All.....she is in the hospital & maybe come home today. I’ve not been working so going in to work today & tomorrow. My brother is with her today. At this point they don’t want to do surgery but have her in a body jacket. We are a big family here so she will have all our support & help.

Lying here, unable to sleep. Too much on my mind. I honestly wish that I could turn it off sometimes because I have no control over the outcome of what my mind is obsessing over.
Made it through St. Pats day, I hope everyone else did well.

I was listening to an Eckhart Tolle talk this morning. He was speaking about "the voice in our heads". He commented that if those thoughts were actually people standing next to us, we would tell them to go away and leave us alone. Yet we give the rubbish spoken in our minds such importance, and our full attention!
I thought that little comment might help me when my mind goes on its ramblings again - and thought it might help you too UP?
It's been a difficult visit to see my Dad today, sometimes when I visit, I end up feeling sad that Mum is not around. Mum was someone who made me feel loved and cared for (even as an adult), and I miss that feeling sometimes. But it is what it is, and my Dad is a different character altogether. Enough said about that!
It's been snowing here today, it's looking really pretty outside.
Hope everyone's Ok.
UP, hope you managed to get some sleep after you posted .

The weather is incredibly un-springlike here too, UP. The sun has to come out soon.....
Tops, your 4th sober anniversary is around this time....
Congratulations!
I'm following right behind you!
Have a great finish to the week all.

.
Thanks Free !
I distinctly remember quitting 7 days before my kid,..and her crew were coming to visit for Spring Break in 2014 . It was mid ( ish ) March ,..but thought I'd be better to wait until April to join a monthly thread .
My April 2010 group was pretty active for a couple years, .... and was admittedly a bit superstitious about changing months four years down the line .
Dee ,.. I already knew had participated in an April thread back in 2006 ,..or 07 maybe . The rebirth theme of Easter seems more than a little apropos .
But, for the life of me, I can no longer remember my exact quit date anymore . Hopefully that's a good thing !?? ...and not just a sign of old junky protein clogging up pathways in my brain .

Oh my goodness, I've just read through some of our early posts. I wonder how everyone is now? I'd forgotten how many of us there were at the start.
It's like reading a community diary.....how things have changed.
Mariah, you were there from the start too!
It's been a good day at work today, I've been pretty productive. I have some work to look at over the weekend, but it's not stressful stuff so I don't mind bringing it home. I have Monday off, so it'll be a long weekend for me....bliss.
Obo, how's things? Have the in- laws left yet?
Friday evening here,so I'm in for the Bargain.
