One Year & Over Part 55
Lovely to "see" you, dear Kris!
Another round of cyber hugs for everybody today.
I always drink plenty of water. Even did it during my drinking daze.
Getting an early start today. Our IT guy is coming to hook up the new server soon. I must've broke the old one with all the data I've been entering lately.
Have a Thunderous Thursday, overs!

It's a tough time (sobriety-wise) for quite a few of us right now....I'm good, but I know how it feels when cravings rush at you and well, at this time of year, there is a lot going on socially and it is not always easy.
We need to make sure we add to our toolboxes. I know that helps me...
And we need to stick close....because we always have each others' backs. ♥♥♥

support to you all- Mags and Babs and all.
Yes- lots of water. And am doing the moist scab bit..slowly healing.
Unsure as to the dynamic of sharing a cave with vampire bats.
Suze- yes Xmas is a time of stress for many. The expectation of 'happy families' plus the buy, buy, buy aspect. 2 examples are - a current ad where a beautiful person is driving home (A very big new shiny home) in a very expensive new car- crammed full of presents bought with the complimentary credit card. Or advent calendars (nothing wrong with that) that cost nearly $100, including one's with designer beauty products.

Hey everyone
A round of hugs to all! Great idea.
FBL - My Condolences.
Gilmer - Happy belated Bday!
LSC - Congrats on your new addition
Mags - Hope your vertigo goes away soon.
Water! Yes, Water! I'm loving it right now. Baby's fluids are a bit low, so Dr suggested that I drink 4L of water a day (on top of other liquids) about a month back. Once I got over the adjustment, I feel great! So much more energy & I feel younger. It's my new secret weapon Can't praise it enough!
I've been off bedrest for a week now & I'm basically back to normal walking/movements w/o issue Yeah!
Last week baby started to gain more weight & gosh could I tell - I was hungry non-stop & put on 5 lbs after weeks of maintaining. I actually ate 2 Thanksgiving dinners back to back & could have had more. Whoa! This week the appetite is closer to normal, thank goodness.
Hope everyone in the N hemisphere is staying warm & cozy & cool and relaxed in the S hemisphere

For now.............. catching up on the thread.
Good morning Overs.
The first computer I used was called the 'Bird Box' because it was built by Mr Bird. You had to set eight switches into the correct positions for an instruction and then clock the instruction into the Arithmetic and Logic Unit. After about 6 or 7 instructions it would talk to a teletype terminal with a paper tape reader which would read about 2 feet of tape and then the machine could read its 8 inch floppy drives to load Basic. Happy days.
Have a great day everyone.

And the size of the computers and monitors! Crikey!
Serene, after that bed rest, you would need to renew your enemy levels for moving you both around, so I'm not surprised baby wanted a TDay meal as well!
Great to have you around Kris, we've missed you, twinnie.
Get processing those figures FBL!
Yeah, and Suze, I don't know about there, but everyone here in the UK has gone Prosecco and gin mad! If you can put alcohol in it, there is one of the two there! ( Prosecco crisps (chips) in Marks and Spencer's! And rhubarb gin and custard candies ) . It s bad enough trying to deal with the temptation without having to actively check every product on your shopping list for gratuitous alcohol content!
