7:45am here in England...
Good Morning to all
I've already checked in just had to post as I'm sat here with my morning coffee thinking if I get to next Monday which I am determined to do this will be two sober weekends...
I know it doesn't sound alot but to me right now it means the world!
I've had the thought in my head the whole time saying i'll get to xmas then enjoy a drink, I just need a break to stop the binging addictive cycle and so on but the more I read on here the more I realise that's rubbish and I'm feeling I just don't want to drink again - Hope this lasts!
It's nearly destroyed my life and now I'm feeling so positive and strong and excited for the future!
Day 9 now, bring on many more sober days!
Thinking of things I can do this weekend away from the usual alcohol fueled madness, a good walk in the Lake District where I live with my dog is on the cards along with a swim, any other suggestions for keeping busy when newly sober feel free to share
A little sleep wouldn't go a miss though, been up since 3:30am!!!! lol.
Wishing everyone well and can not thank this site / people enough for the support!

Hi Kit! I LOVE the Lake District. Another beautiful part of the world I'd like to revisit one day. Walking your dog there and swimming sound like good plans. In my first week or so I wrote a list of all the reasons I wanted to stop drinking and I read it often. I also wrote a description of what I would be like in 5 years time if I a) carried on drinking and b) if I stopped drinking. Again, I read those descriptions often. Still do.
You're doing really well Kit. Keep going xxxx

Morning all! Got my youngest and her best friend today. They have fun I clean! Works well and lovely to have kiddie giggling in the background!
Hurrah proper Kenton!!!!!!!!! Missed you terribly hun xxx
Kit try and think of it this way. Get to Christmas sober and your reward is a sober Christmas! I did that when I went in holiday (All inclusive) in May. Had a great time and even better without alcohol. Honestly.
Okay I'm aiming for a better day today. Feeling more positive so I'm hoping to turn that into some productivity.
Lots of love to you all. Never feel too shy to pop in if you're struggling that's what we do xxx

Like that advice, my reward IS the sober Xmas!
Hope you do have a better day today and the children being around pick you up.
Work time for me now, I have to get some good results today so really need to stay focused. Got my Vitamin B and Coffee at the ready lol.

Omg! I'm a little gutted! Apparently Russel Brand visited a recovery centre in Huddersfield yesterday! I've to have met him such an interesting guy (and not offensive on the eye!)
Oh well......back to my dusting! xxx
