24 Hour Recovery Connection Part 287
Thank you guys for the kind words.
No excuses ...just got hot and stressed..which I suppose highlighted other issues about my long dead relationship that having been eating away at me for a long time. Feel like total rubbish today. So a lesson learned. Thank you all for the support. Xxx Pebbles

He was in pain throughout the journey and as we are not really getting on anyway...I stay because of guilt..I just snapped. I had 2 large vodkas and bought a bottle of wine on the way home.I had a glass when I got in...then tipped the rest away. I hate myself for drinking and throwing 2,months away. Just wanted to escape. Pathetic really.
Well done and love to everyone. XxP

Once you have some sobriety time under you, you'll review your relationship in a very clear way and you'll intuitively know what to do. Really, you will. We love you......
Your post completely tore at my heart strings and reminded me of when my dad was dying because I realized that sadly, dying is a part of life.....and drinking is a part of sobriety. It seems odd when read back, but how can we possibly ever want sobriety unless we've met its ugly other half? Im proud of you and your backbone towards this life....carry on strong sister, carry on........( heart emoji)

It's not pathetic- it was a choice you made. Today and each day after you can make a new choice, a different one. It took me a year and 8 months of trying to get to the point of never wanting to drink again. I am sure I am not the only one who relapsed several times. You will get there, just keep trying. The fact that you are here speaks volumes.
You are not a quitter. You can do this- feel it deep inside your heart. You can do this.
Let go of the shame and guilt today. Go in front of a mirror, look yourself in the eye and say, "I love you."

My 3 year old has been up since 5:45.
Here for another 24 hours of freedom from the chains of alcohol.
I'm trying to get a picture up as my profile pic but don't know how to get it a decent size. Can anyone help? The original is too large to upload but when I resize it, it becomes tiny like you see below...
