Hello all from the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains!
It's gorgeous here, stunning mountain views from my brother's home.
I'm doing ok, but it still bothers me that booze can appeal to me.
My brother has a good heart but is so self centred. At least they're not asking me about not drinking this time. I know I'm a better person in sobriety. Just those wistful moments of why me, kind of thing.

Snoozy, how agonizing for Angie. You are such a good friend. Is Shaun in hospital atm?
I hope to go shopping for some hiking boots here.
Love to all.

I hope she won't need it. I'm scared about having my wife sick.
Taking it day by day. Thanks for asking SoberL.

Does Angie receive a shot/dose of Nulasta after each chemo treatment? It helps to boost certain blood levels and ready the patient for the next treatment. If she isn't receiving it, it might be something to ask about. It's very expensive and some insurers balk at providing it so it may not have been offered. Worth asking about it.
I'm hearing that Claratin over the counter helps nausea.
But, talk to the doc first of coarse.

I loved it when the kids were off for Summer vacation. I hated it when they went back to school; all of the other parents thought that I was nuts.

Me, too! I hated the day when they went back to school in the fall.

My middle son and I used to call schoolbuses "harbingers of hell!"

Now that my kids are all grown, I have no clue what's going on in the old high school. My youngest graduated last year. I kind of miss it--but I'm really glad to be free of the homework and obligatory volunteer work.

Morning

Snooz, thinking of you and your family.xx

I'm absolutely wacked this morning. Not used to being in a classroom anymore. Gotta get through the week. The morning started well then my brain got tired by the afternoon! I didn't have a lunch break though, I went back to my desk to catch up, not a good idea. Will make sure I have one today.

I've been dreaming really significant dreams for about a week or so, hubby said I was talking in my sleep other night, about medical stuff. I can't remember them when I wake up but flashes keep coming in my head through the day.

Have a good day, Julyers

Hi everyone

Yes Leigh Angie does have that injection. It's worth $3000 but luckily it's covered.

Bob, I'm not sure if I've asked you or not but is your lovely wife having chemo or radio ? I think of you both every single day xx

Leshar I'm so pleased you're spending time with your brother in the Canadian Rocky Mountains . It sounds heavenly . Is Tiki with his favourite vet ?
Enjoy your time there , I'm sure you'll have exciting stories to tell.

Suze where are you love ?

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and good wishes for Shaun tomorrow.
I'm having an early night cos we have to be up at 5 am .

I'm feeling nervous as is he but I'm sure he will be fine xx

Dee are your meds all sorted yet or are you still going by trial and error xx

Mags, Pj,Croutie, Gilmer , Crois, Casey and anyone I've missed.

Love you all xx

I'm pretty settled now Snooz - half a tablet of the original med but more melatonin.

I get a fair to good sleep most nights now and the BPs under control
