Beautiful rainy day here and I mean that sincerely. Just what I needed. Matches my mood.

Hi Guys,
A bit off topic, but I'm wondering if any of you use a Fitbit.
I'm considering buying one. I need something to motivate me to walk everyday, make better food choices, and I think the sleep tracker would be useful.
I really need to lose some weight!
I don't want to spend the money on something I'll just toss in a drawer in a few days, so just wandered if any of you are using one, and what your experience has been.
Thank you all for......well, ....for being YOU!
Croutie

Today was just horrible. My commute is 24 miles but all highway. Without traffic I could make it in 25 minutes but, of course, there is always traffic. It was cold, rainy and dreary today. Work was stressful, I sat on my glasses and broke them (don't laugh), and the commute home took an hour and ten minutes. I cried most of the way home. Once home I opened my bedroom door to let the dogs out and was greeted by a horrific smell. One of my dogs had an "accident." Mind you the dog is a Newfoundland who weighs 160 pounds so it is like cleaning up elephant poop. Can't blame her, I had been gone for 10 and a half hours, sigh. I know she tried as she is always very good about house training.

I hope things get better because right now I really don't see the point other than I feel much better physically.
((((dear LuLu)))).

I do believe that things will get better; we are here for you.

Lifting prayers for you.

Oh, and that plant you were asking about (from my thread), is a Main Street Rodeo Drive Coleus....yep, that seems to be the name. I guess it's a coleus. and the rest is well I don't know why they do that. Hmm.

And it is doing swimmingly....here is another photo.

(You can see the purple more in the daytime....)

Nite again dear Julyers. ♥
Rodeo Drive is a cool spot - maybe they thrive in that area, especially along the Drive. Give it a Google

I know people who have used fitbit and loved it Croutie.

It poured here last night and ruined half of my flowers, and I slept terribly.
Feeling absolutely awful today....very down. Maybe I'm sick? I don't know.

That's awful about your flowers. Any chance when it dries out they will revive? Gardening is joy and sadness...mostly joy though.
As far as feeling down, you are probably exhausted. You have done so much in such a short period...
You could be getting sick of course, I hope not.
For me, after elation and getting back to "real" life there is let down.
You certainly have had lots to be "over the moon" about lately.. so maybe feeling down is natural and you'll be back to your usual self shortly.
Don't know why I am waxing philosophical here, I am certainly no expert.
Guess I am just trying to reach out with support as you have done for me.
Feel better soon,
C

Oh, Suze. I hope that your garden bounces back.

My tomato plant didn't make it through the storm last either. It's so sad looking now.

But so very grateful for the rain here. So many fires.

VC, sorry about the flowers. I think you usually get our weather a day or so later. Unfortunately, supposed to rain all weekend.

Hope you feel better soon.

Oh, dear Suze, I hope you are not getting sick. I agree with Croutie, you have done so much lately, put so much effort into things that it may be a natural down cycle a bit. Try to rest.

Croutie, I think there might be a discussion about fitbits and such like on a fitness thread here. I know a few ppl who have one and just love it, my sister included. She feels bad if she doesn't get in so many steps a day. And they are a cool fashion piece too!

Just started on laundry, a gazillion loads to do. Neglected it whilst I was busy with the play. Good job I have umpteen pairs of socks and drawers!

Hi Croutie don't really know how to link. Under the fitness and nutrition group, Weasel started a Fitbit group.
