Hi all. Thought I'd post here because I didn't want to clog up the newbies page.

I have recently moved into a home of my own and am thinking more and more about drinking.

It's nearly 9PM here and the booze shops shut at 10, but am worried about giving in to the temptation.

SW- I Mam NEARLY at that stage. Have saved more- on my very minimal allowance than I ever did as a successful person (??). I am buying a TV and microwave soon. A guy at a meeting recently- lots of tatts, 2 tattooed tears near eye, very hard core drug/alcohol/crime history, sober many years- was really excited because he had just bought a garden hose and a washing machine. It was so unreal for him. He sat and watched it working for a while, just smiling, grateful for his recovery.
So really good- for youse.

Those cats had no shame

After the initial anger spike - which did no one any good, we are getting on with life. Today I put an extra two power sockets in the utility room and fetched some ceramic tiles off the kitchen wall while Mrs T reupholstered 4 dining chairs.

it wasn't hissing or anything when i was in the tree trying to talk it down

Don't know what's happening today

Thanks Suze I just hope someone decides to rescue me if im ever stuck on a mountain one day x

I just knew it was stuck I've never seen a cat that high up and it's going to be a cold night in London and after 45+ minutes of non movement and dwindling sunlight i got the ladder and carefully made my way to the cat Mrs Sw had the ultra bright torch so i could see (she was worried I might fall) but i was ok & was wearing garden gloves my neighbours must have thought what's he up to lol ?

I was going to inform my neighbours across the road but thought why worry them & the last thing i wanted was someone ringing the fire brigade to rescue & them turning up outside. it's not fair on them & i always wanted a reason to get near the top of the tree & thought why not i was careful & made sure my footing was firm

The cat initially hissed and went into battle cat mode but i kept talking softly and eventually picked it up and it jumped to a branch lower down & made it's escape

I just didn't want it up there stuck in the cold all night plus the worry of the neighbours wondering where thier cat was

We're relaxing now watching the S2 Finale of Broadchurch
