Apologies for not checking in for a while guys. It has just dawned on me that we are now almost at 2 years :o. I can't believe it. Looking forward to sharing that moment with you in a few weeks. Hope you are all well, B

Well...we're almost there at that magic 2 years folks....
It feels REALLY good that I've just come back from an occasion many of us non drinkers dread, the office christmas party! Less in terms of the booze for me these days (I just don't miss it), but my anxiety i'm still battling to get under control. But I did it, albeit with the help of my anxiety medication, but even this has been a huge step. 2 years ago I wouldn't have been able to even go there. There were some EXTREMELY drunk people there (I had to almost carry one of them to the subway), but I didn't feel tempted to drink in the slightest bit, and nobody tried to pressure me into it either. I had a nice time... a nicer time than some of the drinkers were having for sure. It's just nice to come home clear headed knowing I'll wake up tomorrow with no regrets, and also to think back to how we all were 2 years ago. I never thought it would be possible for me to do this.

Was just thinking of you all and thought I better check the thread. Congrats CK, you are already at 2 years! I am tomorrow and BBB the day after that I think?

This feels so surreal, I honestly never thought for a second I'd be able to do this, but I'm so glad we have. I've had one intense craving in the past 2 years and managed to get through it, so pleased I did. Life isn't perfect without booze but for the first time in about 10 years it is manageable and a hell of a lot better than it was. Here's to another safe year for all of us.

Dang, I forgot all about it!!!!
I had been watching for day 1000 as it approached. Now I am at Day 1003!
Oh well....it’s a LONG WAY from Day 1 and none of us really thought back then that we would make it this far.
