New thread woop woop

Quitter - That's so kind of you looking at the postage to ship some delicious Root Beer over! We can buy A&W or Barqs here, but its very expensive (like £1.50 a can or something ridiculous). I've just stumbled on an amazon seller who will do me 24 cans for £12 though, which seems a very good deal! What are the best brands? My local supermarket do their own version and its okay, but its noticeably different from the A&W stuff I drank by the gallon over in the States!

I've taken today off work as holiday and just using the time to chill out. Back in the office tomorrow though

Hey BBB, I really enjoy A&W and it is cheap and readily available here. I think Dad's was/is good but can't remember the last time I had any. The local To us Premium Root Beer is FITZ. My wife and I are actually meeting another couple there the end of this month for a factory tour and lunch in their cafe followed up with delicious looking gigantic Root Beer Floats.

I love the Belvoir Ginger beer you get here in Tesco. Maybe more expensive than some brands but considering the amount I would spend on wine, can't complain too much. It's really gingery (love the kick to it) and awesome with some fresh lime squeezed in.

I'll have a quick google for a recipe thanks Enfin, I was talking last week about making brownies again soon, nicely timed.

Quitter - I have tried A&W, Mug & Barq's. The stuff we get over here is called Carters, although its nowhere near as good as A&W etc. Its a decent alternative though. A&W was my favourite I'm going to have to hunt down some Dad's!

Enfin - It's a very strange taste lets put it that way. To me it tastes a bit like Sarsaparilla, but with vanilla. It seems to be a love/hate thing in my family. I've heard others describe it as mouthwash or the 'pink drink at the dentists'!.

Very busy day at work for me. Before I knew it, it was time to go home! It's nice when the day goes quickly, but I sincerely hope it's not as manic tomorrow Here's to another sober day.

Keep going all, thinking of every single one of you

Awwww, thanks so much you guys. I couldn't do it without you. I mean that. Even when I'm not posting here so often, knowing you're here DOES help me stay sober.

So thanks for that, too.

MSS- it might so seem apparent is an 'instant fix' BUT sharing at SR really does help me clean my thoughts enough to get on with stuff.

Hi Enfin - any site selling anything is a commercial site by our rules.

Blog links are tricky - normally they're not allowed unless they're educational or informative in the sense of recovery.

I couldn't actually open your link so I had to err on the side of caution.
Hope you understand.

Hope your week is going well

Congrats Me So
