Class of December 2016 Part 4
I just stumbled on to this "Class of" thread. My quit date was 250 days ago. Still flyin' dry!
I am otherwise new to SR and just put up my first post in the newbie section. I am still looking around and familiarizing myself with the community and resources. If I am in the right/wrong place here I welcome any input.
Thanks

Your sobriety date is on December 30, 2016 so yes, you are in your class here!
Welcome aboard !
Hey DryFlyer you are most certainly welcome here! Congrats on sticking with it. You will find lots of help and encouragement on this board. I mostly just post here and on the 24 Hour thread but there is lots of activity all over.
Hope your sobriety is coming easy by now, I know that in the beginning it was tough for me but now not so much. No time for complacency though, we are all doing it One Day at a Time.
WELCOME!

Welcome to the group DryFlyer
How is everyone doing? It's quite quiet at my end, i'm still waiting to hear back about my interview. They have 1 more person to interview, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed!

300 days for you today Quitter and tomorrow for you BBB!
In bowling, 300 is a perfect score, achieved by rolling strikes in all ten frames.
Funny because we'll all reach 10 months in a few days!
Lets do this together Decemberites!

Hi guys,
Been struggling a bit the past few days. I got offered that job I was waiting on, and am still mulling things over. I just know that since recieving the offer my anxiety has shot up tenfold. I keep re-reading through the job spec and think that although its a great opportunity, its a significant step up for not a lot of gain (only a tony bit more money). I'm worried about my mental health in carrying this job out, as the absolute worth thing for me right now would be to start going backwards.
Then again on the other hand my current job is really boring and quiet most of the time (but at least its not stressful. I had a chat with my manager on Friday to discuss it and he really wants me to stay and is going to make an effort to at least improve what i'm currently doing.
It's so hard to make a choice. I just feel that the amount of anxiety and how much I've struggled the past few days as a result means i'm not ready for this, and need to go back to my Dr and work on lessening this anxiety before I try to push myself more.

Hi BBB,
Changing jobs is always a big challenge because there is so many issues you should examine. Salary is just a tiny part of the big picture.
Personally, my sobriety would come first on the list and I would think twice before putting myself in an insecure situation.
I feel from what you are posting that you don't want to leave for this new job, that you’re not ready...
Give yourself time if finding a job if it isn't a survival obligation.
Your mental and physical health are more important.
Good luck pal, keep us posted!
