Congratulations to Delilah, bandi and Aries on an amazing 1 whole year!!!! If I've missed anyone I truly apologise xx

And to everyone else who has stayed the course for the most part... proud of all of u and am grateful that you're always so loving and welcoming with me...even after fail #3 for the year lol..

I will check what I can do different.. I'm actually thinking about asking my doc about Antabuse.. I know it's hardcore meds but this time 12 months ago I could feel that I was actually killing myself.. my body was in a terrible state.. can't go there again so need to get sober and stay sober no matter what. The naltrexone does not seem to work this time round. Maybe that's why the recommendation is just 4 months. I've taken it for 6 now on and off. Anyway bedtime for me- it's 2am. Day one tomorrow as I had my last drink tonight. I have poured the leftovers down the sink so my house is alcohol free once again

Love you all xxx

Nic,

I'm with Bandi on trying to figure out what else you can add to your toolkit. Complacency was my downfall in the past. I am on here daily, and this thread and the 24 hour thread are part of my daily support.

I have also found mindfulness and journaling helpful.

I'm glad you are working with your doctor, you will get there. If you are feeling any thoughts of drinking log on here and post in Newcomers, someone always pops in. Stick with us, and maybe pop in with the new January class as well.

You will have a sober 2017!

❤️Delilah

Off to help daughter paint another room; is it ever going to end? Back to work tomorrow and falling into a normal routine. I hope that everyone's new year is off to a good start!

Hi Jannies,

I am attaching a link for a January book club. I know many of us have discussed books we've read on here. Pop in, check out the titles, and add any you may have. We are going to choose a title by Friday.

Delilah, today's project (home office) got postponed until next weekend; traffic was a disaster! Next is a spare bedroom and two bathrooms.

I cooked some veggie chicken soup and a Greek meatball soup, also loaded down with veggies. Hopefully, that will cover the shortened work week!

Good night Jannies.
